Forest Service roads lead to Skillman Campground, where rough access conditions require careful navigation to reach the 22 sites spread through mixed conifer forest. The campground operates mid-May through mid-September with standard amenities including picnic tables and fire rings, accommodating RVs up to 35 feet alongside tent campers. Sites sit near both creek and river access points within Tahoe National Forest boundaries.

Reservations help secure spots during peak season, with nightly rates ranging from $18 to $36. The forested setting provides natural shade and proximity to water features. For those planning extended stays in the region, camping near Tahoe National Forest includes additional options beyond this single location.
