Annett's Mono Village

Annett's Mono Village provides full hookup camping with reservations available on the shores of Twin Lakes. The campground features spacious sites that can accommodate multiple tents alongside RVs, with electric, water, and sewer connections available. Access requires navigating what reviewers describe as a maze-like layout with sites numbered on trees rather than clearly marked boundaries.

The property includes extensive on-site amenities within walking distance of most campsites. Campers find a general store, tackle shop, diner with bar service, and boat rentals all located on the grounds. A stream runs through the campground, and most sites offer short walks to the lake access. The central meadow provides open space, while a beach area serves as a gathering point for water activities.

"The campsites are well placed, and very large," notes Dax H., who has returned for over 25 years. However, electrical issues appear in multiple reviews, with some campers experiencing non-functional hookups and tripped breakers. The campground maintains a strict no-refund policy regardless of service interruptions.

Bear activity requires proper food storage, and crowding becomes significant during peak season when nearby Twin Lakes Resort and other area options fill up. Pets are welcome, and both drive-in and walk-in sites accommodate different camping styles.

Mono Village Twin Lakes

My family have been camping here going back to 1960. It feels like home to me. They keep the campground very nice and everyone is very friendly.

OUR FAVORITE CAMPGROUNDS

We have been camping here for 25+ years. Beautiful location, the campsites are well placed, and very large. Tons of amenities; general store/market (literally has everything you would need), boat/tackle shop (fishing gear, boat rentals, items for your tent, trailer, and RV), diner (breakfast, lunch and dinner, even has a bar), campground activities, large beach on the lake, easy access to the stream that runs through the entire campground and a meadow in the middle of the campground that has stunning views at sunrise, sunset, and at night; especially when there’s no moon. All the facilities are well-maintained, and very clean. We have always had, for the most part, a great time, overall during our stay. That said, in full disclosure, the last time we camped there, we did have some issues related to the gray/black water, clean out and fresh water refill. The technician who performed this task, perhaps he was not very experienced, ended up breaking the fresh water plumbing under the trailer causing it to leak badly. With the pontoon rental, they improperly accused us of breaking “the rules” and kept our deposit despite our clear and undeniable explanation of the truth. In both circumstances, we had never come across the issues that we had. It was very unfortunate, because we had a new family up there camping with us who is really into camping, and it just soured them on this location. Fortunately, for us most of our history camping there has been exceptional and full of great memories. I would highly recommend camping at this location.

Camping May 2020

I went when everything was closed except this place, so it was crazy crowded. Sites are not well marked, you kinda just make up your own area by the numbers on the trees.

ELECTRIC DIDN'T WORK - SORRY, "NO REFUNDS." Won't be returning.

Absolute worst experience ever! Nice lake, but there are other and better places to stay nearby, so skip Annett's if you want to avoid unnecessary aggravation. We paid for two nights with full hookups only to discover that the electric at our site did not work due to faulty ground wire connection. Another RVer said electrical issues are an ongoing problem (circuit breakers tripping, etc.) An employee said the electrical issue would be fixed, but nobody showed up the first night (we were told their "electrician" was unavailable, so it would have to wait until the morning.) A general "maintenance" man showed up the next morning and spent a few hours trying to fix the wiring, but didn't know how, so he gave up. We asked for a refund, but were refused. They have a "no refunds" policy. They would not even compromise and reduce the fee to the non-hookup rate (we had not used electrical, water, or sewer), so we left. Later, tried to contact the owners of the park (Norm and Kellie Annett) by phone to seek an explanation and refund, but received no return call. Credit card company sought a partial refund (we were willing to pay the no-hook-up rate for the first night, but sought a full refund for the second (unstayed) night. Owners refused, falsely claiming that "all services were provided." No electrical outlet in women's restroom (it was taped over.) Campground layout is an absolute maze with hard to locate and cramped sites, particularly if you want a tent site. They don't accept reservations, but their "regulars" (who are there to spend the season fishing, not camping) somehow get their sites every year. Save yourself some heartache and money and choose a campground up the road, particularly the forest service campgrounds. You will be glad you did.

Secret Hideaway

I love camping here. The spots are nice, the scenery is amazing and most campsites are just a walk to the lake. The dogs love it too. Beware of bears. We were able to fit 4 tents and a motorhome in our last spot. They have a cafe, ice cream shop, general store and tackle shop.
