Gorgeous and fun

We got a nice spot with trees shade and privacy. Nice table and fire pit. Trails nearby, beauty all around. Nice restrooms. It was buggy and unusually hot when we were there.

Surpising good

Stopped here for a night and a bit of hiking. Found the camp to be well kept up and beautiful. The facilities were great, the showers were surprisingly fancy. The camp was quiet and sites were well spaced. Some site are in the foliage with more shade, and unfortunately more bugs (but not too many).…

Just a gorgeous state park. Difficult to get a spot here so plan ahead or hope for a cancellation. Sites 12,13,14 are amazing. The showers are nicer than ours at home.

Popular & Clean Campground, Breathtakingly Beautiful. Must Stay!

Stayed at the Kodachrome State Park campground during May of 2020 and have not forgotten the experience sense. This is the quintessential Utah campground - clean, spacious, absolutely beautiful surroundings, and ridiculously close to the incredible hiking Utah has to offer. You can literally wake…

Great spot just 30 min away from Bryce Canyon NP

We stopped here on our way out of the Bryce area moving on to Escalante. This was one of the few open State Park campgrounds at this time of the year (December 2020). We did not stay here but paid the day use fee to see the park and use the facilities. It was snowing pretty heavily and visibility…

Amazing views

Great place for camping and hiking. We stayed at Bryce View Campground. No shower here. There is a pit toilet and water. Great for 1 or 2 days to do all the hikes.  We went there in November and there were plenty of walk in sites when we got there around 10am.

Awesome views!

Beautiful sunrise and sunsets! Lots of wildlife surprisingly. Somewhat quiet, there was about 5 other tents and a few were drinking so they had gotten rowdy. Decent sites for tents.

Went early November and the weather was a little cold. This campground is smaller which I prefer and quiet. Very dark at night time. Good camp site for tent camping. Gravel road to get to the site.

Last minute find

The campground we were hoping for was full but they mentioned this one was nearby and luckily they had openings! Long dirt road in and the staff was super friendly! There’s a tent spot that’s pretty private, we picked that one and I’m very glad we did! Other spots were pretty close and this one was…

Favorite Campground in the US

The only hesistation in giving this review is that it will become too crowded.  Let's start with the mundane.  The bathrooms are gorgeous!  What?  I know, the showers, the toilet stalls, its just a fancy five star hotel experience.

The sites are spacious and not on top of one another.

Fantastic Views from the Bryce View Campground

We stayed in the Bryce View campground which has no hookups. We prefer boondocking spots because they typically have more space between campsites, and this is true in Kodachrome. Bryce View Campground is down a short dirt road and most sites are pull-throughs. If you need to use a generator, they…

Stayed in the Basin campground. Nice mix of basic and hookup. Nice and flat sites with sand for tents. Best is the free, upgraded showers. Like a spa!

Perfect Park!

We used this park as our base camp for exploring Utah’s National Parks. Bryce, Zion and Capital Reef are all very doable day trips. Plus, the hikes and bike trails are pretty rad in Kodachrome itself. Grovesnor’s Arch is nearby and you can get up close. We were at site 29 with full hookup. It had…

Best showers!

This campsite was a good one! Has three different camping areas that are really spacious. Some amazing hikes with amazing rick formations and horse rides as well. They have upgraded showers that are better then my own at home. But it’s only at one of the sites. Love seeing the cows roam free in the…
