      The Best Campground Staff Ever!!!!

It is very easy to drive your rig in this park. I have read some reviews where people talk about the drive into the part as being horrible. When you leave I 20, you drive down a county road. It is the typical width of a county road. So just slow down and it is no problem. We drive a 44’ fifth wheel with a dually truck. Some sites have concrete(not in the best shape) and some have gravel pads. There are many trees but the park keeps them trim away from the roads. It was great to have shade. There is full hookup pull thru sites along with some back in sites. There are plenty of areas to walk your dogs along with a nice enclosed dog park. There are many activities for children– a large sandbox, pool, a water slide, playground, tether ball and a game room. This park is about 2 miles off I 20. It is very quiet. There are a few long timers but primary people stopping for one night Each night it is full and then empty by noon the next day. We were there for several months and paid$525 for the month. This included electricity. When we originally arrived, our plan was to stay one month to visit family. But due to some health issues with ourselves and our family, we ended up staying for over 6 months. The best part of this park is the staff. Each staff is friendly, welcoming and will do anything possible to make our staff so wonderful. The staff take meticulous care of the park including picking up daily all the cigarette butts that people think they can just leave on the ground. Due to their service, they get a lot of repeat customer visits.

      Great small campground

Very friendly owner. The small sites are perfect for my van. No complaints. Busy for the size, a lot of children and families.

Enjoyed our stay, There are a lot of long term lots in the back that are junky, but still it is a nice park.

      Stuck but not stuck

We pulled into this place the end of August expecting to stay just two nights. Found out trailer tongue was bent and getting it repaired took over three weeks. This park has great owners, kind and understanding. The staff are all great and treat guests very well. They were very accommodating with our situation. The park is clean and well managed, mostly surrounded by large trees that offer great shade with long pull through sites/full hookups available but also a spacious backins. Restrooms and showers are great! Recently updated, always clean, with excellent water pressure. Pool is huge for a KOA and has a long water slide open seasonally. Laundry room is sufficient and as expected. This park has a few long term campers that make great neighbors. The park store offers both necessities and some cute finds. Close enough to see all Meridian has to offer. Okatibbee Lake was one out favorites on the hot days with a swimming beach. I highly recommend whether for a overnight stop or a longer stay.

      Nice quiet getaway!

If you are looking for a cute quiet getaway this is a great place. We stopped here passing through and will definitely come again if we come back this way. The pool was clean even though people weren't using it. Cute like play area for the kids and they enjoyed the game room. They send text alerts when the store is about to close which was nice. Staff was very friendly.

      Dunns Falls Water Park

      Okay for one night

Camping area is about five tables and grills scattered on edge of property. No real sites (no tent pads, no fire rings). Surprisingly little regulation: fires allowed anywhere, swimming “not recommended.” The friendly camp hosts actually encouraged me to camp in the day use/picnic area, since it is closer to the flush restrooms. Water spigots scattered around but most don’t work. Gate to park locks at 5pm (key provided at check in) which is nice for security. Clean area. Close to a highway but few cars traveling at night. I was the only person camping on a weekday.

$15/night. Not bad considering the locking gate and restrooms with water. The historical structures are neat, as is the waterfall. The whole park can be explored in less than an hour, so I can’t imagine staying multiple nights.

      Decent, Quiet, Nice Views

      Full Time Travelers

      Stayed here Nov 15-17, 2021.

This place was decent with a beautiful charm.  They had all we needed, and ease of access to facilities was great! I will say, it was a tad confusing coming in even with a map.  It was dark when we were able to arrive, which might have made it somewhat harder to find our spot.  Our site was back in, and pretty tight. (most spots were tight)  Once we could see it clearly in the morning, it was evident how little room for error was actually there.  Used the pool, (kid insisted) it was clean and nice.  Slightly cold being November, but it was great otherwise. For the women's bathroom, it was the nicest bathroom I've seen at a campground.  The men's isn't as updated, but still nice.  Props for the nice facilities! Laundry included in that.  Wifi was pretty good.

One bugaboo was our neighbor's hookup situation.  They had their tank hose set up to drain down the side of the hill.  Their site and ours was not full hookup.  We notified management, and we were told they thought maybe the person was just flushing out new tanks with just water.  That it was the person's first, new camper.  The person had set up the camper and left it setting there with the hose hooked up as described above.  It was unsettling, regardless of the reason.  They also didn't seem overly concerned to check it out and remedy.

Overall, it was a good campground to be at for a couple nights.  Was glad to have 24 hour access to laundry and access to nice restrooms/showers.

      Convenient Location/Great Staff

We stayed in site 4 as a one night pull through for our class A. We typically don’t unhook our Jeep tow for one night, but so glad we did here! The staff told us about a great restaurant to check out just a few minutes away in the downtown area, Weidmann’s. It was delicious! Apparently it’s the oldest restaurant in Mississippi and one of the oldest in the US. Downtown is super cute! Definitely go check it out.

The site was great too! We enjoyed a quiet night’s sleep and were nice & level. It was also super convenient to have propane on site right when you pull up for checkin. Would definitely stay here again.

      Campground could use some upgrade

The lake is beautiful. Some of the campsites looked like long term sites with a lot of junk around them. This would be a great place to pull an inter tube with a boat. Looked a little sad. It was quiet though.

Total hidden gem and must stay

We planned on a 2 to 3 nights and stayed 5 … :).  We were at another local site and was looking for a more quite type of place so we could spend time as a family, so I called over to this place and was overwhelmed by the welcome.  It was late and dark and both owners (Steve and Patty) took my wife and I on a walk through their park with flashlights to show what we could pick from … I have never heard of such fantastic hospitality.  They just purchased the park a few months earlier and have upgraded so much it was almost new.  We eventually settled on two sites they said were rarely used because they were in the far back (#26 and #27) and remote.

The next day when we showed up to set up, they had their team already clear the sites and prep for our arrival.  One of their team members helped us set up and ensure we were fully ready to enjoy our stay.  The site was level and elec/water hook ups.  Overall, the site as secluded, quite, private. We woke up to trees all around us and only one RV long term person that we never saw many feet away.

We were told they would come by with a 'honey pot' and empty our tanks so we didn't have to move since we were staying long enough to fill them with normal use … WOW, I didn't have to hook up and move just to dump!  They did shared with us and show their portable dump tank they use when they camp … I may pick on up.

The park had new dog runs, wonderful store, excellent help, and easy dump stations.  I was concerned because of the location of the spot being at the bottom of a hill, and the owners told us not to worry … if we were not able to pull out, he would for us and didn't make us feel bad at all.  The slide was down for the winter, but it was fine.

The park is well off the beaten path so it is quite at night. Enjoyed the late night fires and early morning mists … My son was able to relax for the weekend away from the base.

      Lovely Campground in the Woods

We stopped here for the night and were impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of this campground.  The restrooms are spotless! It has a large pool and the campsites are nestled in amongst the trees.  The owners are super friendly.  This is a great stay in a lovely area.  We will be back for sure!

      Clean and friendly

Home of the longest water slide in Mississippi, this KOA is a great place to stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and the facilities are clean and updated. Camp sites are relatively spread out, especially the sites for smaller campers and tents. Great place for kids, with the pool, slide, game room and very small playground. There supplies store but it doesn’t have much in it. There weren’t many people staying when we did, so was a nice quiet stay.

Check in time is 2pm, check out noon. The slide is only open Saturday and Sunday from 2pm-6pm. Pool is open daily from 10am- 8pm.

      Hope your into waterfalls

If your looking for a really cool waterfall to go checkout this is your spot. Other than that I wouldn’t recommend camping there any longer than one or two nights at the most. (The water wheel does not work FYI) We will continue to stop by in passing but that’s about it. We also went at a bad time after the rain is not the ideal time the water was really high and the current was rapid

      cabin fever

The people running this Koa were very friendly. The cabins are comfortable with an a/c unit. The kids love the elaborate slide built into the hill and the snack bar at the pool. This place is nothing fancy -but simple and just what we needed. There was access to a small general store, showers and laundry facility. There is a nice quiet area to hang hammocks and chill out. We cooked hot dogs and marshmallows in the campfire ring one night. Each cabin has a swing in front. There are several good restaurants nearby in Meridian. Great, restful weekend trip.

      Great campground

We stayed there while working in MS. The owner was very nice and kept the place clean and kept a close eye on the campground. He lives on the grounds. there is a small store, water slide and swimming pool. and a club house on the grounds. I had heard during summer months they have a breakfast concession stand. They have full hooks up 30 & 50 amp, sewer, and water. We had great water pressure in our shower. I would recommend this campground. The campground is a bit off the beaten path, and you pass a salvage yard that is and eye sore, but don’t let that detour you from staying at the park.

Quiet place to stay the night

Lots of stairs to descend/ascend to get to the bottom of the falls. Nice historical building. I was the only camper there when I stayed. Very quiet.
