The campsites are not the best we’ve seen. There are plenty of tall trees and yet the sites had plenty of sun. This wasn’t what we were looking for on this warm July weekend. In fact the campground was entirely empty so maybe others agree (There is another campground just down the road that we liked much more).

The best feature is the artesian well right at the entrance. We filled up with water and the line started just as we finished. Even if you camp elsewhere the water is worth a visit.
