Small but on the water

We stayed at campsite 1, which is right in the little river. Site had extra space around it, and we could canoe right from our site or use the boat launch by site 13. Plenty of tent and a few electric sites, I’d highly recommend for rvs and tents if you stay further from the highway. This campground is very pretty, just not remote at all so you can hear the sounds of cars and trucks. Video is posted with sound. If you want a nice family weekend with easy access to water, this is a great place. There are some short hikes and a historical bridge to see. Also close to the Wild Goose bike trail, which is a flat crushed rock path for running, biking, or horse back riding. For rvs they have water fill and a dump site, so you’re covered. The bathrooms are less than desirable, but that’s not why you’re here. We would definitely come again, but would pick a spot with less highway traffic. Some sites are nestled against the woods, some are more open. Good place for groups! A 15 min drive in to Juneau or Colombus to refuel.

  • Campsite 1, right on the water for easy kayaking, but also some road noise.
