The campsites are fairly close together and the highway can be heard, but they are tucked away from the main attraction a decent bit. However, you can easily hike to the trails and falls easily. The sites are very roomy and tucked into the pines. With the highway being right there, this makes a trip to Duluth only about a 20 min drive, yet don’t forget to explore this park! Personally I find this park to be more beautiful than Gooseberry Falls, yet much less known. There are several trails that wind through many, many falls which can be climbed on.
