We stayed here for a couple of nights using it as a base for hiking. It’s good for that but what’s really great is the access to Baker Lake. Bring your paddle board or kayak as this CG has good access into the lake. For us it was a cold plunge after long hot hiking days. The camp host was very nice and did a diligent job with keeping the place clean. On site water is with a well and pump. The toilets are pit toilets but were clean and well supplied. The picnic tables are new this year. Many of the sites aren’t real flat so plan on using your leveling blocks. Most of the sites are shaded with very large trees. It is the last campground on the road and the last few miles are fairly rough washboard but certainly not a problem. The last campground at the end of the pavement is much larger and better suited to large trailers and also had access to the lake.
