Perfect spot with beautiful views and numerous outdoor activites
I love this spot. The hike up Steamboat Rock and the kayaking on Banks lake is amazing.
The campground is well appointed and clean. I have been there twice and am planning to go again.

Steamboat Rock SP, WA
If your using your GPS from Electric City on RT 155 keep going about a half mile after the gps says your there. The entrance will be on the right with a sign.
The whole area was very interesting, orchards, rocks and water. Worth a visit!
We stayed for an overnight. Sage is a nice open campground with some shade. Green grass and a sprinkler schedule to keep it green. Make sure you check your sites time or you may end up with wet stuff.
Direct access to Banks Lake. The water level was low so there was plenty of shore space to sit and walk. Nice scenery, picturesque and unique. There was a hiking path up the rock but we did not try it out...this time.

Nice clean well maintained park with lots of access to the water. Kinda pricey for full hookup. We booked late in the year so we had to move twice within a 5 day stay. An issue came up that was a real bummer... we needed to move into a site that had a rental trailer on it, and it took a long time for that to get picked up. If you manage to get a site with beach access, do not imagine it will be yours. We had a couple of great beach access sites, but both times, younger campers pretty much took over the beach making it uncomfortable to even use.

I’m much more of a state park and remote campground person. The Steamboat Rock campground seemed crowded and overly developed to me. It was also the most expensive place I stayed on a drive across the country. There are multiple loops and sections to choose from. Most sites have a view of the water if you can see past the RVs.The scenery is incredible especially in the early morning and evening light. There is also a store and concessions stand. Seems much more a place for bigger groups or families than a solo traveler looking for a peaceful evening.

This camp ground has everything... Group camping, cabins, tent and RV. Nestled at the base of steamboat rock which provides trails for hiking. The top provides some amazing views. Sun rise at the top is breathtaking, sunset may be a challenge to scale back down for less experienced hikers. Worth the trip to the top.
My favorite is boating it even just floating on the lake.
Enjoy!
We camped here September 2016. The river was low this time of year, but that made it nice for the kids to hunt for shells on the beach. The campground has lots of trees planted but they have yet to mature to provide the much needed shade. There is little to no privacy between camp sites, but our camping neighbors were great. There is also a community area that has a cute concession stand, beach, playground, and picnic tables.
