Beautifully maintained grounds with some separation/ privacy. Nice rocky beachesque swimming area on the river on the grounds. Bathrooms ok, 2 bathrooms with one shower each. No grates on the firepit. No service or wifi

Nice campground with access to 3 river streams. Bathrooms were clean. Only one shower stall, but hot water. Clean dishwashing station.

Dumpster is by the entrance which is at top of a hill. Generous firewoods for sale at the entrance too.

Beautiful scenery. The brook is clean and a nice place to spend some time. Downsides: campsites are really close together so not much privacy. Dumpsters are a mile from your campsite. Overall nice place but I probably won’t go back.

We loved the lovely landscaping and clean facilities. The hiking in the area was just enoigh for pir short stay. Next time we hope to return for longer!

Beautiful campground. Lush grass meadows. 2 rivers intersect in the campground. Most sites are on or just off the river. Huge volleyball and sports meadow. Nice pavilion. There is a small group of camp sides with electricity and water but most sites have none. The bathrooms are clean. Where the two rivers intersect is a nice sport to put your feet in the water. Kids enjoy tubing the small rapids. We go for 2 weeks most every summer.

The grounds were beautiful! nice clean restrooms and showers, a few playgrounds, and nice trails. Only downside for us was bad phone signal and everything seemed far away, like Walmart was an hour away!

First time at a US Army Corp of Engineers campground this past week. Great campground nestled between the Winhall river and west river. Super clean facilities and grounds. Spent the week in the river exploring and relaxing. They had just had a series of rainstorms before we arrived so the river was able to be tubed down for a couple days toward the end of the trip we were t able to. Short drive into town to get supplies if need be. plenty of hiking and biking in the area. would definitely come back.

The campground is well kept but the spaces are very open and visible and some are mowed lawns. A little odd- might be good for the less outdoorsy types. Bathrooms and showers were available just a short walk away. The brook is beautiful.

It's place is so relaxing and family friendly at the same time. The river is a constant lovely background sound and is wonderful to swim or just play in. Walk into town for the paper or fresh baked goods. And you can actually have a beer in camp. Legally.

We love spending time in this area as there are a lot of beautiful places. This campground is meticulous as it is run by the Army Corps and they have done a great job. The campground is located where Winhall River meets the West River. There is river swimming, hiking and biking on the West River Bike Trail, theater in the summer in Weston and wonderful towns all around. In Weston you can find the original Vermont Country Store and that is quite the excursion. There are some great stretches of river for kayaking nearby if not right at the park. The pace of life is slow there. The restrooms are immaculate and the sites are grassy. Few sites have hookups so bring your solar and pick a sunny site. They do have some walk up sites that can't be reserved ahead. The place books up early in the year for weekend visits so we went on weekdays. There are a few sites with hookups but since we like to be near the river, we opted for other areas.
