Yellow Pine Camps

First CG on Mirror Lake Hwy with developed and primitive camping!

This is the first campground you come to as you head up Mirror Lake Highway. It is split into two sections with the dispersed camping available on the south side and only requiring the recreation pass. Some of the dispersed sites have fire rings but most do not. However, it is closer to the creek! Getting to the creek isn't as simple as walking to the shoreline, however, as there is quite a large marsh area before you hit the stream proper. I would definitely recommend waders if you want to try and fish from this campground. Camping here only requires a Mirror Lake Hwy recreation pass which is $6 for 3 days and $12 for the week. Inter-agency passes can also be used as your recreation pass.

On the north side of the highway is the developed campground with each site having a picnic table and fire ring. It is across the road from Rock Creek but the advantage here is better amenities and more shade! Cost to stay at the developed side of the campground is $18.
