 Anderson Cove Campground is a popular facility located 10 miles east of Ogden, Utah, on the banks of Pineview Reservoir in scenic Ogden Valley. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing and swimming.
## Recreation

 Campers come to Anderson Cove for picnicking, fishing, swimming and boating. Pineview Reservoir offers excellent water skiing opportunities. Kayaking and canoeing are popular on the reservoir's quieter coves. A boat ramp, swimming beach, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits are located within the campground.

 Anderson Cove lies at an elevation of 5,000 feet. Its open meadows and manicured lawns are lined with a variety of shade trees. Temperatures are warm during the day.

 Ogden River Scenic Byway, this beautiful byway, beginning at the mouth of Ogden Canyon winds through 44 miles of Utah's most beautiful mountains and countryside. Rock walls and tree-covered mountain sides line the roadway that follows the Ogden River to Pineview Dam. Small islands dot the man-made reservoir and surrounding fields are either shades of green or snow-white. The magnificent Wasatch Mountain Range stretches heavenward and the mountains cradle the reservoir and small communities through which the byway passes in their gentle valleys.

 Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation. Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Late Cancellations Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival. Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply. Cabins / Lookouts: Customers will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee and forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or lookout reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge. No-Shows Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date. If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under \"Late Cancellations\" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees. Refunds Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure. Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location. Refunds for Bankcard Purchases: Refunds for bank card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank card. Refunds for Check or Cash Purchases: Refunds for Recreation.gov payments made by check or money order, and cash payments at selected campgrounds will be issued a check refund. A refund will be processed within 30 days of receipt and approval. Please Note: Refund requests made during or after departure can only be processed when approved by the facility management staff based upon local policy. Refunds for Emergency Closures: In the event of an emergency closure, the Recreation.gov team will attempt to notify users and offer alternate dates (as appropriate). If this is not possible, reservations will be cancelled and all fees paid will be refunded. Reservation fees for free tickets are non-refundable in the event of an emergency closure. Busy campgrounds 

You need to reserve sites here well in advance as it fills up for the entire Summer as soon as the reservation window opens. It is very clean and well maintained! We loved that we could bring the jet skis right over to the beach at the campground and also that they have a dog beach. We had a fantastic view from our site.

Nice Campground

This was a really nice place for only being 40 mins from the city. Good beach front not a far walk from our campsite. Lots of trees to hang your hammocks up on. If you have some water toys it’s awesome because you can anchor them on the shore or the dock.

A very clean and very convenient campground. Tons of trails nearby and being on the reservoir is great for hot days. Fishing was a blast! Will definitely be back.

Fun and close to other recreation. 

This is a huge campground that sits on the south side of Pineview Reservoir that has a multitude of options for camping and day trips as well as a marina.  The first [Forest Service Campground](https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/uwcnf/recreation/ohv/recarea/?recid=9003&amp;actid=29) you'll encounter heading up Ogden Canyon and the only major campground on the south side of Pineview.  There are 58 single sites for 28$ as well as additional tent sites that are cheaper for 21$.  There are also 9 double sites and 4 group sites along with parking for boat trailers and day use for picnic and beach access.  Every site has a metal fire ring and a varying amount of picnic tables.  There is a small convenience store kin the reservation hut as well as vault toilets and drinking water spigots spread throughout the campground.

For fun things to do in the area look no further than Pineview Reservoir just to the north!  From chilling on the beach to fishing from shore or swimming.  There are many options for easy, cheap recreation direct from camp.  There is also a boat launch ramp right in the campground that makes it easy to spend the day motor boating around the reservoir.  Just down canyon there is also a decent amount of decent [climbing](https://www.mountainproject.com/area/105739271/ogden-canyon) on some good to high quality quartzite rock.

Great Options next to the Reservoir

A good campground, but for a price. I prefer BLM camping even though there are less luxuries and amenities. 
Dogs are allowed on leash at the campground only, not on the beach. 
There are operators riding around on golf carts frequently throughout the day. 
The market provides foods and necessities including wood but it’s all pretty over priced. 
Overall we had a good time, the place is nice. Camp areas are all pretty close together, not very private.

Beautiful camping. Very unfortunate that it’s next to a main street. Heard cars drive by non stop. Friendly staff. Easy reservation. Not the best but not the worst.

This is a great place for a family reunion. We enjoyed the camp site and the short  walk to the lake. Facilities were clean and staff was great.

There was a lot of space to be spread out from others. The beach is so large and it’s easy to camp out. The sand is soft and fun for the kids to build sand castles. We also enjoyed the small waves while on the beach.

Did a big group site with a few other families. Great site right on the lake. Still, the noise from other campers was a bit obtrusive. Still had a blast but would generally avoid for some of the quieter spots.

The lake is beautiful, and the campground is clean.  
Always crowded, hard to get a spot unless you reserve months in advance.  
Not a lot of trees, more of a meadow.  
So not a lot of privacy between other campers.  
Lake has a great ‘day use’ beach for the family as well.

Nice beach for Day Use

Tucked away from SLC, it's a perfect little oasis. It is next to a moderately busy road that connects mountain towns, it's much quieter than anything you'll find in SLC and the drive is absolutely stunning. Bathrooms are everywhere, beach access is idyllic.

Super noisy both nights I stayed, literally people were kicked out both days for noise issues. Road noise from the walk in site I was at. Super pretty and close to the city. But not worth it if you like sleeping. No showers limited access to water

There are camp-sights on blacktop and on dirt. There is a boat ramp, store, dump station…It’s not bad.

The sites are a little close and it is a very family friendly campground. It is a really fun campground though! We rode bikes and paddle boarded. Gets extremely busy on weekends but nice and quiet on the weekdays. Checked in on a Wednesday afternoon for FCFS site. Plenty open.
