Pretty KOA in somewhat dodgy area

Another reviewer mentioned it’s one of the nicer KOA parks and we would agree. The pictures with trees on each site are accurate and the amenities are good. The games room and pool were closed for the season but we had fun with polypong and basketball (court lights up at night) and they’ve modernized the shower facilities. Didn’t use the laundry. Hot tub didn’t look at all inviting although it was apparently still on. Sleep was not great with the freight trains blaring through the night and the city bus stop on the other side of the fence. Gave it a three star for that - apparently the KOA business model is to buy up cheap land around train tracks and this fits. There are lots of full time residents around (interesting to see how massive this park is) and there is a security guard on at night. We’d planned on switching to the state park but found it lacking compared to this. Convenient enough location for visiting the city. The staff worker we met was so unenthusiastic about her job that it was funny. Lots of sites available at this time of year but they turn the water off to the tent/small RV ones (was fine for us as we had a full tank).
