Old Highway 89 Dispersed BLM Site

Great location!

Beautiful spot, not too far from the entrance to Zion National Park. We are traveling in the summer during an intense heatwave, and this spot had EXCELLENT shade. If you pitch your tent right, you may be able to sleep in, which was a huge bonus for us since other shadeless campsites had us up at 530 or 6am due to light and heat. Lots of leveled spots for an RV or tent and the view is beautiful. There didn't seem to be any mosquito, or pesky bugs in general. However, we did see what appeared to be mountain lion feces right next to a femur bone that was almost a foot long, under a tree near our tent. This site isn't too far from the road, so you will be able to hear cars passing at night, but it's far enough away to not be bothersome. The path in is pretty easy, we were able to do it in an audi hatchback. Despite it being the busy season, we were the only ones camping there besides a couple that pulled in to sleep for a few hours.
