This location worked well for daily visits into the park. From pictures it seem like it may be too wide open and barren, but the views are actually really good, and sunsets are great. Sites are well spread out, and there are plenty of them. We were here in early October, and seems like you Should be able to find a site this time of year (early October).

We were in site 28 and were equally close to vault toilets at the beginning and end of this spur of the road. Sites 31 and higher will see the highway traffic below although it’s far away and you probably don’t hear it.
