Stayed there over memorial day weekend and it was PACKED.

Pros: close to town and equidistant to the NP entrance. Cell phone reception. Clean portapoties at the bottom.

Cons: barren dust bowl above the highway which can get pretty crowded.

There are plenty of beautiful secluded spaces to camp in this area which I discovered by driving around and which shall remain undisclosed lol.
