Accessible via walk-in access from the parking area, this US Forest Service campground operates year-round within Chugach National Forest. The site provides vault toilets, picnic tables, and bear-proof food storage containers at each of the walk-in tent sites. Campers report that bugs concentrate near the adjacent stream but decrease further into the wooded areas.
The campground sits at elevation, creating cooler nighttime temperatures even during summer months. A small stream flows past the sites, and reviewers note the sound of running water. For those seeking additional options in the region, campgrounds around Hope provide alternatives within the same forest system. Pack out all trash as no collection services operate here.
