The Best Camping Near Corinth, Texas

Have family in Denton, and this campground happened to be nearby. Was relying on family member's somewhat cheap gear, but ended up being ok as it is quite a calm campground near the lake. Much of it is paved or lawns with grass cut short. Bathrooms were adequate and some of the campsites are right on the lake. Some sites have shade but others only have shade at the picnic tables.

Tame Lakeside Camping

This park is in the middle of Highland Village.  It is different driving to a campground and weaving through high end city neighborhoods to find the park.  The lake is pretty and it is surrounded by huge homes built all around the lake.

The nice thing is there are a lot of amenities, a day use area, and an outfit that rents kayaks.  Believe it or not it has hiking trails and equestrian trails in the park.  The prices are middle to high range.  You have to pay a daily park entrance fee of $10 on top of the $30-35 a day for non-resident campsites.   Kayaks are $40 a day or 4 hours for $25.

The day use area is really nice with picnic benches and pavilions.  This is a good camp if you care more about amenities then being in the wilderness.

Convenient for those living in the area. Boat launch is nice as well as the day use pavilion.

Convenient 

We brought our PUP here for our first trip as it was close to home. You don’t feel like you are less than a mile from a busy shopping center. The camping area has lots of shade, and many spots are very close to the water. Every RV slot has electric, water, a picnic table, a fire ring, and a grill. There is a playground for the kids, and even a Little Free Library. We did not have to pay the additional entry fee for day use, it was included in our price of renting the RV slot. Ice and firewood are available for purchase from the office.

Cozy city campground

Nice facilities and views are good from some of them.  Great place to camp that is not far from where we live so it is super convenient.  A lot of shade.

Good experience 

This isn’t a large park and it can be difficult to get a reservation but it is so conveniently located basically in the middle of the Metroplex. 

So convenient

I love this park. Nice RV sites, close to the water. Campground close to town but away from the noise. Nice boat ramp/dock and day use areas too. Recently renovated bathrooms. Staff friendly. Can reserve online, book ahead, fills up fast. 

My happy place, my home away from home. 

Spent an afternoon and evening here and met a friend whom lives locally. Lots of shade trees, level sites many right on the water. I found the water pressure too strong for my class b as the pressure caused a link under my sink. Convinced me to purchase my own water pressure resistor gauge. 

Nice City RV Park

I love this campground. It’s close to my home but makes me feel like I’m camping far away from home. Lots of trees, many spots right on the water, great kayak launch, has hiking trails and decent distance between sites. And very helpful staff.  

Most outstanding is even when it is very busy, it is quiet! I think they must enforce quiet rule very well. 

I did try to stay for a Sunday thru Tuesday reservation. It must have been a big weekend prior because I believe the trash was full to the hilt which resulted in hundreds of black, loud, obnoxious and aggressive crows. They seemed to like my site the best even though all my food items were locked up inside my closed car. It felt like the Hitchcock movie, “Birds!”  

It was miserable. I finally gave up and went home.  Maybe weekends are better. 

Favorite except for crows

Wanted to test out our new Airstream close to home. Nice campground. Clean, close to lake and peaceful. Good space between sites. Bathrooms were clean.
