The Best Camping Near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Tucked away on the quiet side of Pigeon Forge is this lovely family owned resort.  You feel like you are hidden in the beautiful valley landscape when in fact hare less than 3 miles from the adventures of Dollywood.  Park your RV at one of the pull thru or back in sites and enjoy full hookups, while watching cable TV. For those wishing to explore the RV life, rent a park model, or relax in a cabin.  Save time and the hassle of trying to find a parking spot in Pigeon Forge by hopping on the trolley that runs through.  Cool off from the Tennessee temps in the pool while the kiddos play at the playground.

Slots are small. The staff is wonderful and the location is great! 

 Over all it was a great experience 

This is a nice Campground but most all sites are close together and on a hillside. Sites were mostly level requiring very little adjustment of RV. Pool was very nice as well as playground. We felt as if the the sites were not equal to what you paid for them (priced a little high) as compared to other campgrounds in the area. Probably will not return.

Highs- Very friendly ( in the South we say “neighborly”) folks in the office, playground for the little ones, crystal clear swimming pool as well as kiddie pool, basketball court, laundry facility, clean bath and showers, vending machines and camp store with just about anything you would need including handmade soap in case you forgot yours.  Newly cemented sites that require little to no leveling, firewood, fire starters, parts for your rig, full hookups with cable, fire ring and grill, quiet and peaceful but just 1 mile from the parkway.
Lows- No trash can at your site.
Don’t let a little thing like no trash can at your driveway keep you from enjoying this RV Park.  Highly recommended.  Just go already!

Very clean with amenities

We really enjoyed a few nights in the fall and used this rv park as a base for driving and visiting the National Park!!

Very Nice and Convienent

Great location! Also I was very impressed by how nice the bathrooms are! Would recommend. 

Nice spot! 

We stayed for a few nights between Christmas and New Years, and it was great! The bath house was clean (and warm!) it was cold, so we didn’t get to use the playground, but the kids really wanted to use it! Would stay here again. 

Great campsite!

Very nice spacious, level paved spots. We paid extra to get the upgraded spot which included a picnic table, grill, and fire pit. The pool was closed, but it was storming the majority of our trip.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Clean, private bathrooms with showers although I prefer a little bigger shower and a little warmer water. Sites are nice and level with concrete pads. I do wish they were a little more spread out. The location is perfect being in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I would definitely recommend this place and would visit again. 

Location, location, location

No complaints regarding the campground...there was one child in particular when we stayed that obviously wasn’t watched by his parents. That’s not the campgrounds fault. It was a big tight pulling into our site and thank God no one was at the site next to us because there was absolutely no where for them to park without parking on our site.

Friendly

Red haired lady in the office, started complaining about my fiancé and myself. Saying are campsite is dirty. Never was, trash is in garbage bags which are taken to dumpster at night. Don’t stay here. Rude an will over charge you for a tent site with no electricity and no water. 

Horrible 

This is a great base camp to explore Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smokies. Just a little off the main strip so its still quiet but accessible. Excellent amenities including pool and play area for kids. My only complaint is that the lots are a bit small.

Good placeto visit ithe Smokies

The location is very convenient and close to Pigeon Forge activities. The front desk people were very friendly and were able to accommodate us an extra night in our same spot. The park is clean and well maintained. The only reason I left four and not five stars is because the spots are very close together. 

Nice location 

Great location and the staff was friendly but that’s the pros. The Con is simple, I think politics can waiver your experience easily and us being a minority family camping there gave an unwanted vibe from other campers. Never noticed this in other states and sites but you just ignore it and have a great experience. Non locals were very friendly and spoke to us. People  need to remember we are all the same, look the same, eat the same, speak the same… we just come in different shades and experiences. Camping is a great way to learn and meet a new neighbors even ones you might not have a chance to sit at a fire pit and talk to.

Great Location 

We booked the camp because it had trolley access and was relatively convenient to the parkway and restraunts.  We were very happy with the amenities for the price and time of year. Pool area was nice though not used by us. Bathrooms are very nice and clean. Clean roomy lockable showers. Laundry room was clean with all working washers and dryers 2.75 load and takes a card.  Some sites including ours are very shady. We'll kept and level. 

Trolley stop is great. Use it to go to transit hub and pick up the trolley to gatlinburg. We travel without a car in tow. So we move a 30' motorhome when we park so convenience is priority. Sugarlands is not to hard of a drive in the mornings to go for all day trail hikes in the park.  Gatlinburg is just a few miles away.
Great rv park. We enjoyed our stay and urban hikes I the morning for breakfast.  We will return.
