Pioneer Park is a beautiful 185 acre recreational area nestled at the foot of the scenic Laurel Ridge Mountains. The large manicured grass-covered campsites are enhanced by fifty picturesque acres of spring fed lakes. Three of the lakes are stocked weekly with all species of trout and attract fishermen from all over southwestern Pennsylvania. No fishing license is required, although permits are necessary and can be purchased at the campground office. The fourth lake is used for paddle boats and children's fishing. Fishing is free for children in this lake. Other activities under the direction of a full time activities director, range from swimming in an olympic size pool, basketball and tennis courts, shuffleboard, miniature golf, horseshoes, volleyball, treasure hunts to paddleboat races. The area surrounding Pioneer Park is rich with the rural history of the past two hundred years. Other interesting nearby attractions include white-water rafting, Seven Springs Resort, Fort Ligonier, Idlewid Amusement Park and Soak Zone, Fallingwater (a Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece), Laurel Caverns, fairs, festivals, and shopping outlets. Very friendly ownership. Always go out of their way to accommodate. Pleanty of very well maintaIned large sights all pull through. Great camp store, fire wood, fire rings, very clean facilities. Three large lakes, fishing. One of our very favorite places to camp with our 38 foot motorhome. 


Love Pioneer Park

Wish we would have had more time here. Was end of summer so pool was also already closed. So many areas to fish that more time would have been great. Clean showers. Not sure how cable worked and wifi did not work well at our site.

Family weekend

Roads are small and a mix of asphalt, gravel and dirt.  Camp sites are tiny, packed together like sardines and muddy when it rains.  The pull through sites are only large enough for your camper (barely).  Lastly, I don’t know why anyone would advertise ponds as lakes.  They have 3 fishing ponds and not lakes.

Nice enough with a variety of family activities.

Great family friendly campground.  Site 202 is right on a pond , a nice shady spot with lots of space.  Next to sewer tank pump station, though.  Not a problem but a few truck visits throughout the day so some people might not like that. 
Lots to do for kids. Very close to several state parks for great hiking and biking. Check out Moo Echo on rt 31 for awesome food!!
