I can't imagine not visiting this park in autumn, but I'm sure it's pretty in summer too. Nice flat trails on site. Tons to do in the surrounding area, don't just limit yourself to this one park. Typical basic state park camping accommodations, clean, well cared-for but not super modern. I'd imagine it'd be pretty crowded in the summer You can hear the road from some sites so choose carefully if you care. Really pretty lake and nice stargazing!
