Lots of Weird In and Out Traffic
This could be a really nice campground. It is a bit rundown and overgrown, though sites along the creek were nice. We drove in and did not need a reservation, but reservations are available 3 days in advance.
Non hookup sites are $15 and partial hookup sites are $25.
The host did not come around that we saw but they were working on their truck with seats torn out and a lot of stuff laying around their site covered in tarps.
There is both dry and hook up sites with electric and water but no sewer hookups. The dump station was locked and appeared not to have been used in a long time so unsure if it is available to use or not.
Driving through the campground we noticed that the hook up sites were really unlevel and narrow access from trees and low hanging branches. We were able to get site #13 (non hook up) with level enough spot for our 26ft rig. There were only a few other campers and those appeared to be fairly settled in long term.
Towards the evening there was a lot of in and out traffic and strange things going on. One guy parked his car near us then searched the woods for calling out for someone then left. Later there was a guy that pulled up in a truck with his headlights shining in the woods got out walked in the woods then got back in his truck and left. There were some campers that came in throughout the night and we hear lots of talking and lots of flashlights in the woods in all directions, then cars and trucks coming and going from that site as well. Needless to say it was an unrestful night and I won’t be back. I also read online about hauntings at the Inn down the street and missing people.
The toilets are wooden shacks with pit toilets. No showers. There is a disc golf but only saw a few cages. Garbage and water are available. Good cell reception.
