The campground is nice and well maintained. Sites aren’t very big and some are very close together. Our bad luck gave us the spot closest to the road and there were a lot of heavy trucks traveling by early morning. Showers are really nice and there is a nice dish wash station with hot water in the central area. The toilets on the outskirts are super tiny and you can’t close the stall door without straddling the commode. Easy access to wood and ice and trash disposal. The park area has several great swim spots if you can handle the icy cold water. Also good fishing for trout and other fish. Recommend river shoes if you have them as the rocks can be slippery and painful. Overall we really liked it. Only issue was the road noise but if you get a spot further from the entrance you will be fine.

My boyfriend, our dog and i stayed for 3 night for his 30th birthday, we didnt have much money to go very far or to do anything extravagant like we wanted to, so we decided to stay here as a little stay-cation and just enjoy eachothers company and spend some much needed quality time. It was a fabulous trip and the location was absolutely perfect. Couldnt have wished for anything better honestly.

Tent camping with clean showers and bathrooms. Close to Bend and all the nearby adventures. Great for families and everyone else. We will be back!

Wonderful Oregon State Park.  Book early and make sure you book the correct size.  Very small park with FHU’s!  Great place to eat less than a mile away is The Bite…about 6-7 amazing food trucks and great local Beer!  We will return.

Must book on ReserveAmerica.com. Drove around to select potential sites then confirmed open and booked online. Well paved streets and campsites. Most tent sites also accommodate RV's. Very good restrooms and showers. Very quiet at night. Some minor background road noise beginning around 7am. If have tent site, nearest dump station is CampingWorld... only a few miles away at north side of Bend. Dump station list provided at entry gate is outdated. Also close to Costco, Trader Joe's, etc for shopping. Enjoyed the Deschutes Brewery tour and High Desert Museum! Fine campground at reasonable price.

Never again, hovering campground hosts kept the place clean but they made us feel like we were on the watch list. Campers left the campsite and no joke, the hosts were in raking the dirt as the people were vacating.

I really liked my stay at this park. The bathrooms were clean and awesome. They had fire pits, everyone was friendly. I would 100% stay again!

Very clean & quiet. Convenient to Bend & Sisters. Outstanding area for so much activity, & some serious scenic overload.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at a tent campsite amongst many other tent/RV campers and it was great. Fire pit a picnic table and a short walk to the bathrooms. I would stay here again.

We only stayed for one night on a trip through the state but it was a decent campground. It's convenient to both hiking in the surrounding area and the city to check out a brewery in the evening. Bathrooms were clean, sites were clean, sufficient enough space between sites. The busy road that runs along the campground can be a little noisy but wasn't bad overnight. There was also a dog in the neighborhood nearby that was left outside to bark for a long time which was annoying until they brought him inside. We also heard coyotes overnight as well. Worth noting, this campground had the best firewood we purchased of our week long stay in Oregon.

Nice campground overall and amenities that include showers for guest, outside sinks at shower house for tent camping etc, small but newish playground, many FULL hook up sites for RVs (30amp only)… Day parking across the road from campground is river front to the Deschuttes River (very shallow) and was great for wadding in during warm months. Closest campground to Bend without being IN Bend Close to neighbors for all sites and they are all always full it seems…very convenient campground though!

Website indicated they were booked , so we called just to make sure. Got a spot for the weekend. Niiiice. Most sites are small(campground was built in 1950's when most trailers were 20') bring yer driving skills if your rig is big. Ours 35+ so I had to put Vaseline on the trees and rocks out front. Nice and quiet, clean bathrooms and excellent hosts.

I stayed in a yurt here a couple times as a cheap stop over on road trips. Nice river walk along the tumalo across the street from campground. Less busy in off season, reservations recommended. Firewood, showers and great clean bathrooms. Right off highway and close to Bend for anything you need.

Tube the river! We snagged a river spot and will float to the food trucks. We’ve got trees for shade thank goddess.

Tumalo is a family favorite!  There's the river hike, a playground for the kids and some great food carts 10 minutes down the road if you don't feel like cooking.  A few things to note: Bring your own water in the winter as the spigots are turned off. Also TUMALO FALLS is about 40 minutes away from this campground.  Well worth the trip, but not at this specific site.

State CG along the Deschutes River with fishing, hiking, swimming, floating. Sites are generally large and well spaced.. Clean facilities. Some minor road noise

This is one of our favorite campgrounds in Oregon. We did have a harder time backing in our 35ft trailer due to the more narrow road but over all wasn’t that bad. There was a good mix of campers and trailers, did not meet the hosts but everyone was nice. Very close to Bend but away from all the noise. Would come back again.

Had a good time, clean campground and nice area. It was pretty quite. Some spots were a little tight to back up a 35ft trailer but worked it out. Pretty close to town.

Stopped for a quick overnight. Loop B is open during the off-season. Close to the road, minimal privacy... but very convenient to town. The clean, heated bathrooms impressed.

In 24 trailer just as a stop over, seems pleasant, by the road so not good that way.

This campsite has it all! Hot showers, firewood, bathrooms, spacious sites and trail to the river. Plenty of parking for second vehicle and ideal location for fall campers!

Lucked into this Campground after rolling into Bend in the late afternoon.

The host suggested going down to the local taproom and I'm so glad I did because I wound up running into 4 high school friends there.

Wound up extending my stay for 2 more nights because the campground facilities were perfect, the location was great, and the company wasn't bad either!

I liked how close the campground was to Bend as it made it easy to get supplies. You could hear road noise from my site and although I thought one loop was supposed to be reserved for tents only (no RVs) there was an RV with a loud generator next to me.

Excellent campground!

I was here on a hot July day and was super glad to be so close to the river. From my site, I could wade right into the water and watch the dozens of tubers float by. The day use area across the way is very nice and empty early in the morning. Same thing with the riverside hiking path. This is a great park and I would definitely say here again.

Took a trip to Oregon from the Seattle area.  We were lucky to get the last spot in Tumalo on a Thursday night.  We stayed in site 41 Thursday night.  We liked Bend so much we searched for any other opening available for Friday.  Moved to site 12 for Friday night.  The Deschutes River is within walking distance, the day use park across the street is lovely.  Close enough to food and drinks in Bend, hiking at Smith Rock, and any other fun you may choose to have in the area.  Restrooms were clean, camp hosts were friendly. I would happily stay here again.

We stayed in Bend amidst the major heat wave (temps topped at 108 F!) so having a guaranteed campground was nice on a trip full of dispersed camping. The day use area of the park had a line of cars waiting to get in, but accessing the campground across the street was no problem. The sites were clean and the whole area seemed to be well maintained. Bathrooms were very clean as well and it was great to have showers.

Our particular campsite wasn't super exciting and didn't have a lot of shade or good trees for hammocking, but it was a good experience overall. Plus the park is conveniently located fairly close (but not too close) to the main highway so it was easy to come and go in and out of town.
