Personally love this campground, I can understand that it wouldn’t be as enjoyable if you are closer to the road but if you can get a spot in the middle or back it’s wonderful. Nice lake and most spots have a LONG driveway. Covered by trees and squirrels!
We didn’t have a bad stay but wouldn’t return. I get that city parks cost more but don’t think it’s worth it. We have a 35ft trailer which was pretty difficult to back up, thankfully there was construction so the lane on the main road was blocked off but don’t think we would have been able to park if there was traffic flowing. Front office gal was nice and thorough. An older gentleman working there helped us back up but then gave me serious attitude after which made me uncomfortable. Would highly recommend staying away from the road.
I was nervous to stay here after reading some reviews but it’s not bad. Definitely some interesting characters “camping” but no one bothered us. It was a pretty clean camp ground but there were cigarette butts all over our site. There aren’t full hookups, so I don’t know why it says there are. Water is available at the sites along with a bbq and fire pit. There is an area for dumping your tanks by the front of the park. Heard coyotes at night. Didn’t have any noise issues and workers are nice.
This is one of our favorite campgrounds in Oregon. We did have a harder time backing in our 35ft trailer due to the more narrow road but over all wasn’t that bad. There was a good mix of campers and trailers, did not meet the hosts but everyone was nice. Very close to Bend but away from all the noise. Would come back again.
Had a good time, clean campground and nice area. It was pretty quite. Some spots were a little tight to back up a 35ft trailer but worked it out. Pretty close to town.
