 Pine Meadows Campground is located on Cottage Grove Lake in Oregon's southern Willamette Valley. 
## Recreation

 Cottage Grove Lake and its shoreline, set in the gently rolling hills of the Willamette Valley, are used for numerous outdoor activities both on land and on water. There are boat ramps at Lakeside Park and Wilson Creek Park nearby, giving visitors easy access to the lake for boating and fishing. Families can use the swim beach or picnic along the shore. The lake is also a designated stop along the Big River Loop of the Willamette Valley Birding Trail, a self-guided driving tour that includes 138 birding hotspots. 
## Natural Features

 Located in the low foothills of the Calapooya Mountains, Pine Meadows is surrounded by a diverse mixture of marshland, coniferous forests, and grasslands. The area is managed to provide habitat for a wide variety of wildlife species, including waterfowl, black-tailed deer, upland game birds, songbirds, bald eagles, osprey, and many other species. Visitors can see rare birds like the purple martin, the willow flycatcher, and the yellow-breasted chat in the lake area. Osprey and purple martins nest in nearby structures.
## Charges & Cancellations

 Reservation changes or cancellations can be made through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Cancelling/Changing a Reservation \_\_A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation. The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Depending on when you cancel in relation to your arrival day, it may be considered a late cancellation (see below). Late Cancellations Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee. Group Facility: Customers who cancel a group overnight facility reservation less than 14 days before the arrival date will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee. No-Shows A no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Staff will hold a campsite until 2pm on the day following the scheduled arrival date. No-shows are assessed $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first nights recreation fee for a campsite. Early Departures If a customer departs prior to the scheduled check-out date, they may be eligible for a partial refund. Please notify staff at the facility if you depart early to allow others to use the site. Customers may notify the call center to request a refund of remaining unused nights. If a customer requests a refund for an early departure after the facility check-out time has passed, the customer will not be refunded for that night and is eligible for a refund on any additional nights that will not be used. Refunds Customers may submit a refund request through their Recreation.gov profile within 7 days of the end date of their reservation. Customers may also initiate a refund request through the call center at any time after their reservation has ended. Debit or Credit Card Purchases: Refunds for debit or credit card payments will be issued as a credit to the original card used to pay. Check or Cash Purchases: Recreation.gov will mail a Treasury check for refunds of cash, check, or money order payments to the address associated with the reservation. You may update the address at the time you request the refund. It may take up to 6-8 weeks for the Treasury check to arrive. Please make sure your address is up to date in your customer profile.

Camping delights

This campground is run by the Army Core of Engineers, so if you have the Federal Access Pass enjoy half off your stay :)

Several campsites right along the lake. The playground is nice and right next to the beach. However before getting in the water, look for signs for swimmers itch or blue/green algae :( Restrooms with showers were pretty clean.

The campsites are pretty spacious which is really nice!

Overall a nice place to camp with views if you don't mind not getting into the water.

Great Primitive Spots

This is a nice enough campground. Our camping spot had a direct path to the water but unfortunately, due to algae levels, we couldn’t go in. There is a small play structure for kids and tons of bats to watch at night. No alcohol as the campground is run by the Army Corp of Engineers.

Outside of Cottage Grove

Fun lake camping with shaded campsites that are cool in the summer. You can rent lake boats, paddle boards and other swim type toys and their facilities include summer type treats as well. Campsites are near the lake and great for larger parties or private events.

The road into the campground was narrow and winding. The swimming area was closed due to low water level, but there were other spots to access the lake. No alcohol allowed. The turn around would be difficult for larger trailers.

Got a site overlooking the water, great weather, nice for swimming! Close to Eugene.

Pretty nice!

I wouldn’t really recommend this campground. Drive slightly farther and stay in a more private better campground.

Not very woodsy
Feels like RV  park 
SO MANY barking dogs  
Lots of other people around
Nice fire pits and tables at each site 
Farm across the street has 05:30 am rooster 
Busy road a few feet from edge of campground. 

If you’re looking for a nice private get away don’t stay here. If you want to feel like you’re in the woods don’t stay here. If you want peace and quiet don’t stay here. 
If you like staying at an RV park style sight. Stay here. 


Crowded, not private, overused  

This place has an incredibly rude employee that made our camping trip very uncomfortable. They were rude and we saw this person argue with 3 other campers about trivial things such as 3 cars (all with parking passes) being parked on 1 site (and they all fit!
They banged loudly on the person next to us doors at 10:05 about their generator being on. The campsite itself it well maintained, but if you are going to let loose and enjoy yourself. This is not the place. 

Never again 

I really wanted to give this park 5 stars. It is beautiful and very well cared for. Bathrooms are super clean, but……
I had a lake site and the wind howled all weekend. It’s May so might play a roll. It’s dry camping so all the RV’s had generators and not the quiet Hondas. All promptly started at 6am. The site next to me had a baby that howled all night and the guy across from me kept turning his vehicle headlamps on well past midnight lighting up my tent trailer. Zero sleep the first night. Second night was better. If I stayed again, I’d take my hard sided trailer and generator. If you can’t beat em……
