Although we loved being so close to the various hiking trails within the park, the campgrounds themselves are designed more for RVs. We had to see the ranger several times before we found a site that has enough green space to pitch a tent. Rangers we're super helpful throughout our ordeal.

Otherwise, Fort Stevens is a great place to explore.
