Delintment Lake is located near Harney in the Malheur National Forest. The area features forested terrain with a lake, providing opportunities for fishing and hiking. Temperatures range from lows in the 30s Fahrenheit in spring and fall to highs in the 80s during summer, with nearby attractions including the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

Delintment Lake Campground provides a wide variety of recreation facilities and activities for the whole family. The campground has 29 campsites, a group camping area, a natural non-motorized boat launch, beach area, fishing pier, 12 picnic sites, water, and hosts on site during the summer months. Hike the trail along the banks or fish from the dam or pier. Despite its amenities Delintment Lake Campground received only moderate visitor use during the summer. The two loop campground offers camping sites near the shore as well as higher on the bank. The road access is paved up to the campground from Burns, Oregon. Please pack out what you pack in, no trash service is provided.

The Best Camping Near Burns, Oregon

We went out in a Friday and were hoping we would be able to snag a spot, which we did. It was gorgeous! My boyfriend had been there a lot, but this was my first time. We fished and walked around the lake, wished we had brought the kayaks. It was an amazing trip. The yellow jackets and gnats were overwhelming.

Hidden gem with super clean bathrooms

Peaceful place. No hookups. No phone coverage. Takes an hour to get to campground from Burns.
