A lovely location with a charming family

Perhaps the only thing bad to say about this place is they need to put their address on the site. Perhaps they are reluctant to, there is a family that lives there, but it would of saved me a whole lot of trouble.

The GPS from the app leads to the wrong house. This resulted in a lot (and I mean a lot of cussing coming from my unholy lips).

The husband emailed me the address and directions, and from that point everything went smoothly.

The place is a beautiful house on a hill, which allows you to camp in the wooded areas. It is a working chicken farm, with breeding, egg hatching, and lots of cockles. Charming!

They have an outhouse/shower/sink on the property so you can get cleaned up no problem.

The roosters, quite frankly, don’t give a dam what time it is, they start their roostering at 2 am, so it was a bit hard to get sleep.

But that’s all part of the experience. I enjoyed looking at all the hens, roosters, and turkeys immensely. It brought me back to my childhood when we had our own birds, and would scoop up the eggs for our own use.

Just remember, get directions before you drive out and you’ll have a great time. Couldn’t expect a more hospitable host anywhere.

Cheers!
