Good creater lake location

Full service RV Park in the national Forest 40 minutes from Crater lake rim. Large Park in the woods. Visited in late July and it was only half full. For the weekday pretty quiet and peaceful. Some deferred maintenance like roadways crumbling in spots but all the basics were met. Great little pizza restaurant on the lakes edge is just walking distance.

Nice and quiet.

Campground near the lake, with full hook-ups. Disappointing , and for us a disadvantage, there was no cellphone reception and no internet acces possible Also no WiFi available.

Crater Lake

I picked this campground because of it's proximity to Crater Lake NP. There are tons of options for camping in the area, so honestly, I was disappointed with the place. The biggest was no wifi or cell reception! The forest service campgrounds directly on the lake had cell service and lake views. I did have full hookups, but the sights are bunched together with little privacy. You have to drive 3 miles to access the Resorts restaurant, beach, and store. You could rent boats and bicycles at the main resort. I was more impressed with the KOA on Lemolo Lake a few miles away, then I was here.

Great campsite

We spend 2 nights in site K4. Very spacious and a nice view. The personnel was really friendly and helpful.

Great Lake for Trout Fishing

Nice sites set in giant fir trees with full hookups. Sites have concrete with gravel and walking distance to the lake and south shore Pizza Parlor. Boat ramp is within a few minutes drive. When the bites on the fishing is amazing. Have never been skunked on this lake. From mid August on the bugs are few. There is a 12 mile walking/bike path around the lake that is beautiful.

Quiet and comfortable

We stayed here mid June 2018, it was very quiet. We arrived late at night and were able to find a site to stay in with little difficulty. The mosquito population, however, was quite thick at that time if year so cooking during the daytime wasn't as fun as we would have liked. Overall it was pretty and clean. We would stay here again, but possibly in the mosquito off season.

Camper access with great views

Typical drive through RV campground. Sites located between main highway and lake edge. There is some distance between sites and each has a pretty good view of the water. Hiking / biking path around lake gives you access to a pizza parlor and Diamond Lake lodge with swimming and boat rentals. Great for bike riding.
