I actually loved the location of this campground because the Greenway bike Trail runs right through it.

I just didn't do enough research to understand that the camping area was basically just a grassy field with sites casually delineated by fire pits and tables.

Online, it said there were 10 tent sites but I only counted 9 fire pits.

Anyhow, there are steps down to the French Broad to launch a kayak or inner tubes and it is right next to the Asheville Outdoor Center.

Also highly recommend Homegrown Cafe for breakfast and Cascade Lounge for drinks and live music just down the street.
