Pilot Travel Center — Waynesville

A pretty standard truck stop. I would recommend getting the Pilot app as it does let you accumulate rewards and good deals. There’s a subway attached and a good variety of snacks inside, as well as showers and well maintained bathrooms. The staff did approve to staying overnight but to make sure you don’t get boxed in by the trucks or you would have to wait them out. Overnight parked is the row opposite the building entrance by the trees and the side of the building, just not in front. There are also spaces for EV plugins, maybe a dozen, that stayed mostly empty. A lot of trucks coming in and out and I-40 is nearby making it a bit loud but not terrible. Overall a good, free, spot to stop at between Tennessee and North Carolina.
