Hagan-Stone Park Campground offers campsites for motor homes, recreational vehicles, trailers and tents. Reservations can be made online or by calling 336-641-2090. Online reservations must be made at least 72 hours in advance or you will need to call to make the reservation. 

Section “C” 

An open, grassed section with 41 sites that is popular for camping clubs and large groups. This area can accommodate units up to 45 feet long with multiple slide-outs. Two bathhouses with showers and restrooms are nearby.

Sites in Section “C” include a picnic table, electrical connections with both 30- and 50-amp service, and water (shared between each two sites). No sewer connections are available, however dump stations are onsite. Reserve your site here.

Contains 29 sites in a wooded setting. Sites include parking area for the unit and one vehicle, picnic table, and campfire ring. Electrical connections are 30-amp and water is shared between two sites.

Individual Tent Sites
Hagan-Stone Park offers 16 tent camping sites. Water and restroom/ shower facilities are available within walking distance. No electrical connections are available in the tent camping area.

If you prefer electrical connections, an RV site can be used at the RV site rate. A maximum of eight people are allowed to occupy one tent site. Sites include tent pad, camp stove/fire ring, picnic table, and parking for two vehicles.

Group Tent Camping Sites

Hagan-Stone Park offers tent camping for organized groups of 10-40 people at the three group camping sites. Each site has a large fire ring, several tables, lantern pole and enough area for several tents. The Best Camping Near Pleasant Garden, North Carolina

I've raced here with my cross country team. There is a huge beautiful lake at the center and miles of gravel and dirt trails surrounding it. The facilities are decent, although bringing your own TP might be a good idea. Easily accessible from CH, Durham, Raleigh, and Greensboro!

Hagan stone is a great park!
I've been there multiple times for races, and the facilities are excellent and the trails through the woods would have you thinking that you were miles from civilization. If you decide to go for a jog though, be careful not to slip into one of the ponds-- the grass does get very slick, and I've seen it happen a few too many times. 
In terms of camping, there are quality grass sites and sites for individual tents with a more wooded feel.

A great municipal park with 3 camping loops:

*   Loop A has no hookups and is for tents.
*   Loop B is heavily wooded with 30amp and water every-other site. You may need as much as 50' water hose. If you're longer than 30' you may find Loop B tough to navigate.
*   Loop C is basically a field with RV parking along the perimeter.

The park has several ponds (fishing) and about 10 miles of hiking and biking trails. Several large play areas for the kiddies and a pool (extra fee). There are two dump stations and two (older, but usable) bath houses.

Great weekend get-away

This park is close to our home, very affordable and was an excellent place to take my wife for her first tent camping experience. The tent sites were nice. I would scout ahead if possible because some are nicer than others. We stayed in site #7\. The tent pad was level but ground around the area was mostly sloped. Was very close to the bath house. Bath house was ok. Wife said women's side was nice and clean. The men's side was a little outdated and could have had a few less spiders but wasn't terrible. There was a newer bath house a little further away from our site that seemed a little nicer. Campground was full but because there a limited sites it wasn't too crowded. Overall was a great weekend getaway with my family and friends. We will most likely go back at some point.

We stayed here for a quick one night while driving through. It was conveniently located off the interstate and quiet. We were able to hookup 50amp electrical and water is shared with your neighbor which was fine for the brief stay. Nice for the price.

The pros - the park itself is BEAUTIFUL.  In fact, it is one of the nicest city parks we have ever visited.   Staff were friendly. And the grounds and facilities were well maintained.

  

The cons - we stayed in loop C which is basically an open field.  That was fine but the sites are very close together.  Also, there is one water connection for each two sites so would advise bringing a splitter.

  

Loop C also did not have fire pits and ground fires were not allowed so if staying in this section, you should bring a raised fire pit.

  

Loop B did appear to have fire pits had very few sites that would hold a rig of our size (39’ Travel Trailer) and would be very difficult to navigate.

Pros:
• Most of the B sites are in a nice wooded setting.
• There’s plenty of trails to walk during the day.
• Very quiet even though the sites are pretty close together.
• There’s a Food Lion and Gas Station 10 minutes away if you forget anything.
• Clean bathhouses with hot water.

Cons:
• Our site (B20) was reaaally uneven but we made it work for 2 tents!
• If you tent camp in the B lot, the bathhouse is a bit of a walk.
• You have to bring your own firewood or buy it ($5 a bundle) - gathering firewood from the woods is not allowed.
• Water is shared between sites.

Great Place for a Short Weekend Getaway!

Really like this campground.  It is clean and generally well maintained except
for a few branches along the road that can use trimming.  Sites are narrow. but have a nice gravel surface.  Great connectivity with Att and Tmo.  Plenty of OTA TV channels.

I stayed twice (both times for a week) for work. Park is well maintained, staff are friendly. I sleep during the day, and even when the park was full, it was still quiet and peaceful. Bath house was always clean. 

Great stays

This is a state park with wooded campsites. Lots of ponds. Large playgrounds and an aquatic center a short distance from RV sites. Lots of friendly neighbors and staff. 

Nice, quiet and wooded

Had a great experience staying here for several months for a work contract. I believe they only allow you to stay long term from November- March, otherwise the max stay is 14 days. You get a discount rate for the long term stay - 575 a month. 
Sites C are for campers &amp; long term stays, sites B are usually for campers and more woodsy area, and sites A are for tents. Great location, many trails to walk, shelters to rent, and you can kayak on the pond. Lots of wildlife. There is a gate at the entrance too. A very safe, nice location.

I Love Hagan Stone park, and I wanted to go camping here with my family because that is the only thing I have not done at the park yet, made a reservation, and had an EXTREME EMERGENCY come up and I called and told them that I wanted to cancel my reservation due to my emergency and they would not give me a refund I was not too happy about it at all so now I'm out that money and a camping trip. I understand that my emergency is not their problem but I think there should be certain circumstances where they should refund you.. 

I'm very disappointed and upset ...

MAYBE just maybe in the future I'll try again..

The park itself is huge and has SO much to offer while camping here. Especially for families with kids. Multiple playgrounds (I think I counted 5), a pool, hiking trails, 4 ponds for fishings, baseball fields, volleyball sand court, the list goes on.
The campground itself was not bad. Loop B has lots of tree cover with shade and privacy from neighbors. It’s just not very clean. Throughout our stay we kept finding remnants of past guests. Bottlecaps, pull tabs, candy wrappers and other assorted plastic pieces that mistakenly or purposely got left behind by other campers. I just wish the sites were picked up better. 
The bathhouse could also use some TLC. Especially in the form of shower curtains that fit the showers. The only saving grace is nice hot water with great water pressure. Overall a nice stay, and we’ll definitely be giving this place another try.

Stayed in the woods, the staff suggested how to park because of the location of power and water. It was a good suggestion. The grounds are beautiful. The pavilions are great. There are trails around the whole park that my dogs loved. The site I stayed in was dirt but I didn’t need any blocks to level. No sewer, just dump stations. The showers worked well, a little run down but clean. Lots of ponds for fishing. The staff was great. Verizon work ok for streaming. No WiFi.

We frequent this campground very often. Very nice play grounds. Does cost and long waiting line at pool, but one of the best to just get away and relax.

Well Maintained, Nice workers and good weather.   20ish minutes from Greensboro.  Camping spots are great.
