Good free campsite with beautiful views
We stayed here for a night and it served our needs perfectly. It was about 10 miles up an extremely bumpy dirt road to get to the trailhead which had vault toilets. A few people camped right at the trailhead, but we opted for a campsite about 1/2 a mile before you hit the trailhead. There weren’t designated sites but campers found their niche amongst a pretty flat area that could accommodate ~8 groups with some privacy. Definitely bare bones and off the beaten path, but if you’re willing to endure a bumpy ride for 20 minutes it’s a great stay!
