TravelerWe camped one night in a tent in site #12. Luckily it was a cool evening because the scent of the vault toilet wafted over our site off and on. Can't imagine being here on a hot humid day in the summer. I'm sure this campground is fine for overnight if you are self contained in an RV. Good if you don't want to be too far off the Interstate but also don't want the traffic noise.
GuideWe are here in October and we are getting snow I love it. Only 3 other campers here. .the dogs just run. Getting about 6 inches of snow. Going to hike some trails tomorrow. We have AT&T and there is cell service but we also have Starlink. No water this time of year and there is only 1 pit toilet...across the campground. It would not be a place I would stay in summer....no trees I'm not a fan of seeing all the campers. Looks like pretty decent gravel sites. We do have electric. The rangers are very nice.
GuideThe Campground is close to Big Sky and there is no other option to go dispersed in this area. Bearlocker, Outhouses, Firering, Tent place, sometimes grill, Water and Dumpstation. Hyw is close and very busy.

GuideStayed one night while visiting Bozeman (Sept 20 2026). Three miles off Hwy 191 on a deeply potholed dirt road. With artful steering it is possible to avoid the worst holes. Clean pit toilet. A number of open sites.
GuideWe visited is September and only the C loop was open. However it was quite nice.
TravelerWe got lucky and managed to get a host site that was empty for the balance of the season. Campground only had 2 other sites open. Loop B is out of the wind but no views. Very clean bathrooms!
ScoutWe booked 5 hours before we arrived and were told that hotsprings were open until sun set; 7:56 pm, however just after 6 pm staff started to boot people out anf they were closed before 7pm. When it was brought up to Anthony who claimed to be the manager on 5 Sept he could care less, partly due to the fact he was late opening and "no one was going to hold him accountable"! He further stated that he did not care that military members booked because after driving all day we needed to soak. Stating it was his "call" and none of us would get any funds returnd.
TravelerI thoroughly enjoyed this stay. The spot was level and well maintained, laundry facilities clean, check in personnel very nice and helpful. The best part was the Hot Springs next door. I went both nights and the second night there was live music which was wonderful. They provide towels, showers and have shampoo and conditioner available at the springs. And the outside lighting was very relaxing. I will definitely be back.
