Beautiful!

This was a breath of fresh area after hours of range land driving. The last 5 miles of the road in is dirt. It is navigable with any size vehicle but slow. The campground was quiet except the sound of the river. Half of the sites are on the riverside but they don't have a direct view of the river. The mountain views were spectacular! The sites were large, clean with a nice pad and modern fire pit/picnic table. You do have to pack out your garbage.

Quiet

Stayed 3 nights on site #8. The site was half shady and half sunny. Large site that we could easily maneuver our 20' camper with room to spare. Notice a nest of young robins getting ready to take their first flight at our site. It is a quiet campground, back from the road with hiking trails around the area.

But of a Drive but Totally Worth it

We saw Cave Mountain on our map and needed to find somewhere to stay so we decided to check it out. The drive in is very long and you start to wonder if you are going the right way, you are. We got there and a mother bear and her cub were at the site we claimed. After scaring them away we set up camp. The next morning on our drive out we saw a young moose by the creek and it was an amazing site. Definitely would reccommend to anyone who wants to have peace and see wildlife.
