Beautiful!!!

We stayed here for 4 days during the weekdays and had a wonderful time. Everyone we talked to said that weekends are completely booked so reserve early. While we were there it was very peaceful and relaxing. Loved waking up to coffee and the beautiful view of the lake from our campsite. The sites were Electric only and there are a few water spigots scattered around the areas. Very hard to get cell service, but that's ok because we weren't there to be on our phones. We didn't fish, but watched as others pulled large catfish from the lake. There were a lot of Trails and even a herd of deer that would come right into the campgrounds. If you have a chance make sure you stop and see some caves and HaHa Tonka Castle Ruins.

Mostly peaceful

Lower level closest to the water is the loudest area and we've had to deal with drunks fighting on 2 occasions. Better bet is to camp in one of the other 3 areas. Not as close to the water but much more peace and quiet.

Well maintained

Great staff, beautifully groomed state park, well shaded. Note that water In not avaIlable on the sItes themselves but at spigots In the park. Fill up your tanks prior to parking your rig. Lake accessed easily. Deer roam through in the early morning. Dogs requIred on leash 100% outside. Bath houses plentiful. Great basic tent sites right on the water. Marina with rentals.

Great place

Great place to camp if you can get in. However, it is a little far from the lake bars if you are into that scene. It also is always very crowded.

Huge!

Very large campground with at least 4 levels. Boat ramp for lake access electricity avail, and some primitive. There are water spigots throughout. Camp hosts located throughout park. Lots of interesting things to do near by, and of course Osage beach! Store at entrance and one at the boat ramp. Clean shower houses. They offer yurts. Large campsites. This is a very nice campground.

Super camping!

Our site was kinda tricky to get into, especially if you have a longer trailer. Seemed like quite a few were that way, so do your research. But campsite was average. Went in the fall and our camper was parked under a walnut tree, so that was kind of humorous when we started hearing the walnuts fall. Great hikes, beautiful scenery.

Wonderful park

Nnothing but great things to say about our stay at the state park. We went after the busy season ended (July 4). We took a kayak tour and saw great wildlife and beautiful scenery. Campsite was clean and we stayed in a section where most site were pull through. The only negative was the uneven surface but not a show stopper by any means. There is a camp store onsite that is well stocked. Great job missouri!

Amazing in all ways

The shower houses had just been turned on and were the nicest I've seen in a long time. There are lots if different camp site selections possible. We stayed down near the lake, where the views are amazing. Potable water was close by as well. Lots of hiking trails and MTB trails.

Bugs

When we visited this SP at the end of June, the bugs were horrible. The campground is run of the mill for a state park, the facility was clean and the sites were semi level. There is plenty to do in the area.

Breathtaking view, lots of bugs and showers!

It's been years but I can still remember how spectacular the sunset was, how unending the coastline was and how good the showers felt after hiking a fraction of said coastline. Lots of shade, water and trails nearby. Also the constant noise of bugs in the summer.

Beautiful, Beautiful Campground

This is one of the most beautiful areas we have ever camped in! If it wasn't for our jobs, we would happily move to the Lake of the Ozarks! Loved the hiking trails and spending a day on the lake!
