Shady sites and a view of the lake .

Paved and level sites, some shade and grassy areas. Hosts were excellent and very helpful. A few late night noisy vehicles stopped by the restrooms, non campers, wouldn’t hurt to ad signage directing them elsewhere.

There’s a marina

Seems like a lot of locals frequent this place. They have all the basics. It’s 30 minutes from Branson on 11 miles of winding mountain roads. There isn’t much to see or do close by.

Terrific, beautiful, well spaced out, right on the lake

This was a terrific campground. It was a little tricky getting to the campsite with a big rig. We had to unhook our toad before taking the road down. There is a ridiculous low-hanging HUGE sign on the road leading to the campground (NOT the campground’s fault) that you had to drive around in order to get down the correct area.

The campground itself is really lovely - right on the lake. There is a swimming beach, but we were there off-season, so too cold for us to enjoy. The sites were well spread out and private. The camp hosts were so nice and really kind to our children. The older man reminded me a bit of Sam Elliot (without the voice) and had lots of stories to share of his days traveling, hiking, and back country camping.

This is a really cool area with lots to discover. We will definitely return.

Amenities: water, sewer, 50 amp, level site, lots of trees, some wildlife (including a luna moth!)

Things not included: no WiFi, but AT&T service was good, no laundry facilities

Great Shaded Soft Tent Sites!!

When it comes to this location I liked the overall spacing of sites and the shaded tent area.  This was so appealing when I pulled in.  At first I had eyed just a site by the water but when I saw these they were a bit further away but seemed to be just what I was looking for in the midst of the heat.

Many people come to this area to put a kayak in the water and enjoy, and while I wanted to do that it seemed a bit crowded for my liking as a novice.   You wouldn't expect that from the water but I get turned around easily and I didn't want to be out there in the way.   Instead I enjoyed the other activities and just being at camp itself.

A bit more about the options for water recreation.   They do have rentals and a shuttle service to accommodate you returning following a paddle, that seemed very reasonably priced.

Camp was very nice with lush green grass, access to fire rings and picnic tables.    It wasn't to loud although you could hear the sounds of campers around you pretty easily.

They also had cabin options here, I didn't explore them this time around but they looked nice and the placement wasn't to close to one another.  The RV area was well spaced and had great areas for leveling out with ease, shade coverings for the exposed sites and similar amenities to the tent camping.

Great campground for fishing trips

We stayed a week in July 2018. Will definitely go back next year. Views of water from camp. Short walk to Marina. We were even able to rent a slip from Marina and kept boat on water which was awesome. My father actually caught close to biggest walleye for that area.

Just a stop

I was running late on a drive one day, and quickly googled camping options in the area. The site is small but quiet, which I prefer after a full day of driving. I did not spend much time in the area, but it is a good distance from Brandon. I only passed through so I cannot speak to in detail about Branson, but it seems like an interesting place to see for sure.

near Branson

Not a large campground, so it was a quiet experience. About 45 minutes from Branson, this was an ideal place to make our home while we got the best of Branson and a bit of nature.
