A lot of work needs to be done
Looks Like this, Campground has been remodeling for years. A lot of kids won’t need a lot of work. Do you only reason we stayed was for a shower But the shower design was small and water everywhere
Nice place
Very nice private campground that offers rustic, electric, and cabins. We stayed in a 30 amp electric site. The 30 amp sites are a bit tight but backed up to the woods, so privacy wasn't an issue. Very friendly owners! Can't wait to go back
Lots of kiddos
We only stayed here one night but the kids had a lot of fun, they have a lot of outdoor toys. There were kids everywhere.
Outhouse and showers were clean
Electric hook up
Filled water at dump station We stayed in site 10 it was quiet and away from the core of the noise
Friendly staff Seasonals were a little wild and loud, I like to have fun so it didn’t bother me much but they didn’t always watch the kids, only complaint.
6 minutes back into the town near the River is a little gas station / general store —- best Pasties!
Cabins available Rustic tent sites available
$48 after tax site 10 electric travel trailer site.
Nice Basecamp for Pictured Rocks and My Workweek
I snagged a spot here for my work week and for opportunities to explore Pictured Rocks.
The staff and other campers were super friendly and I loved enjoying a nice hot shower every evening.
They had ice and firewood available, a small beach and dock for launching or tying up boats, and lots of yard games for the kids.
There were also a couple nice public boat launches for the Au Train River right down the street!
No no no
This place looks like a scene from a movie; like Vacation (1983) pool full of swans scene instead of RV (2006) picturesque scenes! Packed full, one spot (literally up to the highway — noise fetish?) and it was the roomiest; just looks sad. Lots of kids. We’ve raised ours, don’t mind kids, but when they’re bored and unsupervised, they are not enjoyable.
Great, chill place
Really nails the UP experience. Will stay here again!
Family Friendly, Great Lake View, Accomodating owners
We enjoyed our time at Superior Times. The owners are working to improve the resort and keep guests happy and have made several updates. We stayed in a cabin with a newly remodeled bathroom, which was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice too.
Kids fished, rode Sea Doos - rented them for $60/hour, played basketball, and had a great time. We sat around our own firepit and had a chance to unwind and relax. We will be back in the early fall to see the colors change.
Great location to the Au Train falls and other waterfalls as well as Pictured Rocks.
Pretty lakefront campground. Great location to Pictured Rocks.
We really enjoyed our stay at Superior Times. The campground is on Au Train Lake and the campground offers jet skis, boats, and kayaks for rent. They were in the midst of grading the area leading down to the Lake so it was pretty dirty/dusty in that section; however, once that is done it will be really nice. The shower/bathrooms were very small but worked out fine.
Very clean and affordable
My wife and I camped here earlier this year (June ‘18) and had a great time! Not only was it affordable, but the bathrooms were extremely clean showers included. The site has cheap boat rentals and a small beach area to relax at. Not the type of site you’d want to stay at the whole trip, but great for people checking the area out and all it has to offer.
Perfect Spot
We stumbled upon this little gem and camped there for 3 nights. We opted for the rustic campground which still allowed access to the bathroom and showers, but was secluded from the cabin and RV area. The lake access was great! Warm water and good fishing. The staff was fantastic and even offered us a cold beer. Although we wanted to disconnect, the WiFi access near the office was great for mapping directions or checking the weather.
