Description
Sandy river-bottom terrain in Michigan's Gladwin State Forest Area, where the Muskegon River bends through a corridor of dunes and forest near the hamlet of Temple. Informal sites line the river's edge above a dune slope — no amenities, no fee, and a narrow sandy access road that gets progressively softer the farther back you go; high-clearance and careful maneuvering are advisable, particularly for longer rigs. Dune buggy trails thread the surrounding forest, and the shallow river is suitable for wading.
