Caribou Island Campground is located within Isle Royale National Park, near Houghton, Michigan. The terrain consists of rocky shores and dense forests, providing a natural setting for camping. Visitors can explore nearby attractions such as the Isle Royale Lighthouse and enjoy temperatures ranging from 50°F to 70°F during the summer months.

Caribou Island Campground is located on the very western tip of West Caribou Island, in Rock Harbor Channel, on the northeast end of Isle Royale National Park. Boats can dock overnight. The Best Camping Near Eagle Harbor, Michigan

We stayed at Caribou the first night of our trip. This little island has a large leantou for everyone to hunker down in and a outhouse. It should be noted that this island is one of the only spots that you can build a fire.
