Very nicely maintained state campgrounds near many activities and restaurants, most notably Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Ski Resort. We went in late June, and the weather was warm in the daytime and cool at night. Perfect. Although it was a bit crowded, it did not feel claustrophobic. Great hiking trails nearby with some wildlife. We’ll definitely be back.
