I was lucky to score a nice site mid week just before the 4th of July. My site was large and fit my large tent but it was clear that it can get muddy based on the deep tire tracks left on the site by a previous camper. The selling point of this campground is the lake for sure. Sebago Lake is beautiful. Sites are very close together. Luckily many of the sites around me were not occupied but I get the feeling that is rare. Bathrooms were clean. Beach areas were very nice for relaxing.

This is a nice park for families. The lake is clean and nice, the campsites are nice and flat and clean, the bathrooms and showers are well maintained. Don’t expect peace and quiet though as there are many campsites and lots of young children running around and playing and being kids. Overall, a solid place.

This is the quintessential state park camping experience. Lots of people, plenty of kids running around, with a nice playground and swimming area conveniently close to the campsites. My family had a blast! One thing to watch out for… there are some very friendly skunks walking around at night! They seem utterly unfazed by people. I’d recommend bringing a flashlight and watching out for them on the way to the bathroom facilities at night! If you’re looking for a quiet nature retreat, this is not the place for you (during peak season). But it’s a fun place for car camping, and the swimming area is unbeatable. Soooo refreshing during the hot weather.

What a wonderful place. We we there for three nights following Labor Day. Campground was half full at best. The campsites were very tight, but there was nobody around us so we had plenty of privacy. All campsites are short walk to the beach and very pleasant. The best campsites are the ones farther from the beach next to the swamp. We had heavy rain a couple nights and the campground ponded quite a bit. The ponds became puddles And the puddles percolated down through the sand after a couple hours. Still it was disconcerting to step out of our camper into 6 inches of water. The beach and water were perfect.

Really enjoyed Lake Sabago as our first camp out this summer. The camps on the left facing the lake seemed better spread out than the ones on the right. Left more tents. Right more RVs. Will be back again!

A few Importnat items. Sebego Lake SP does Not allow pets. I suggeat looking for a care taker fir your dog  It specifically tells you this when you try to reserve a campsite . the Day use area does allow dogs . leashed . 

The lake was created by a glacier , but it certainly is Not Glacial . last years swimmimg temps were in the 60s and low 70s

The state park has very few campsites with Hook Ups . ie electric and water and you will pay more .

Please do Not feed the ducks 

Keep,your trash collected and place in dumpster or your vehicle at night .,if not , you will be cleaning up racoon spotted trash in the morning. 

It is a quiet Family campground. You won't find a kids program, arcade, or swiiming pool there . loud partiers are frowned upon .

I have been camping there for 54 years and have never missed a summer

Pros: this was a seemingly nice family-oriented campground with lots of nice amenities - the restrooms were in decent shape, there was a dish-washing sink available, and they even do movies in the amphitheater.  The lake is also very nice as well. And even though there was an extreme lack of privacy, it was one of the quietest campgrounds I've ever been to, which surprised me a lot.  

Cons: virtually no privacy between sites.

There are a handful of sites right on the beach by the lake.  If I could get one of those sites, or one a little more private than what we had, I would go again in a heartbeat.

We thoroughly enjoyed this campground with our grandchildren! So much for them to do. The beach and like was really nice too. Very friendly and helpful staff.

One of our favorite places to camp so far. The beach is AMAZING. Very clean campground. Town isn’t far away for shopping and some cool restaurants.

This is definitely a great area to camp. It’s close to Portland and set on the north end of the lake. The facilities are fairly decent and definitely geared towards families. There are two little beaches attached to the campground which tend to be less busy than the main beaches in the other areas of the park. My biggest recommendation would be to stay on the Naples Beach end of the campground as it’s a bit quieter. We’ve stayed here multiple times as a family and it’s a great location.

Sebago Lake is a great state park, one of the few in Maine that offers hook-ups (W/E; there is a dump station). Its popularity results in higher rates and demand for resevations. Reservations open up in February a week before other state park campgrounds, with rates higher for non-Maine residents. Site are level and large, some of them along the waterfront. there are trails for walking along the lake and it's easy to launch a kayak. There is also a trailered boat launch. The beach is beautiful! Wonderful place for a family! I was there in autumn, but I imagine when it's busier in the summer, noise may be more of an issue.

The sites closest to the lake are very close together and crowded. the lake is awesome but I want more separation from other campers. Some were loud also.

Beautiful lake. Nice faculties. Can be a little busy and campgrounds are close but the location is amazing

This is a large campground right on the lake. Half of area is set up with RV hookups, so it nicely separates the tents from the RVs.

Sebago Lake State Park is close to Portland, Maine and neighboring towns. Nice to be close to home so the drive to arrive isn’t so long. Nice scenery and helpful staff. An enjoyable weekend.

Sandy beach with lots of trees, wetlands, bogs, a neat juxtaposition. Some of the campsites are near the water, most are now. There are some walk-up sites that we enjoyed---not too far from the car but far enough to give a bit more of a wilderness feel. They have showers and water, not much else. Make reservations throughout summer. They had a nice astronomy program by the local telescope club while we visited and the rangers spoke of other programs.

This campground was in the woods and was well maintained. The campsites definitely felt like they were on top of each other and are pretty small. We picked a medium one and could barely fit 2 tents and 2 cars with a safe distance from the fire. 2 sites were within 15ft of our fire pit. The bathrooms were very clean. The lake was nice too, sandy beaches. For a large portion of our stay it torrentially downpoured. The trees allowed us to canopy a tarp but our fire pit completely flooded and we had to bail it out when the rain finally stopped. If the sites weren't so close together and small I would definitely give this place 5 stars.

We stayed in the MainelyGlamping Camper Glamper which is a mobile glamping unit for hire. It was Memorial Day Weekend and we had a three night night stay. We loved the campground and it is great for our eight year old daughter who can safely ride her bike around with the other kids at the campground, enjoy the beach and enjoy the playground, but it still provides my husband and I with some relaxing/peaceful time together in the woods or sitting on the beach. We had two paddleboards which are add-ons with the MainelyGlamping package and we spent some time on one of the calm clear mornings paddling around the lake which was amazing.

This state park seems to be more geared toward family camping. The sites are crammed in but it's still comfortable. Sebago lake is a great spot for all types of fishing. From bass to landlocked salmon. And you can take the boat up river through the songo locks. All the way up to long lake. Stop at Naples causeway for a bite to eat. Plenty of good area hikes near by.

Fantastic weather and an awesome lake, Sebago State Park is a fabulous place to recreate. The area surrounding the campground has great hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and biking opportunities. The only reason I rate it as a 4 is because the campground itself is crowed... it is a very popular location with small lots! We tend to gravitate toward the more isolated campgrounds, but for a long weekend once a summer, this is a nice place to be.

Beautiful camp ground with many activities, kayaking available. However sometimes the lake is not swim able due to duckage.
