Bucket List Stay!

Overview: A Bucket List Stay! Our Harvest Hosts stop at Landry Vineyards in West Monroe, LA, was quiet, relaxing, and memorable. This family-owned vineyard, nestled in rolling hills, offered a peaceful escape. The welcoming staff made us feel right at home, from the first communication to the wine tasting. Campsite& Activities: We stayed at a spacious hookup site with water and electric, offering stunning vineyard views. The peaceful campground was perfect for unwinding. The Saturday evening concert was a highlight, with live music adding a vibrant and memorable touch to our stay (check their calendar for dates). The tasting room’s 6-wine flight from 30 varieties, with a souvenir glass, was a treat. The tasting room staff were incredibly helpful with guiding us through the experience and helping us find places in town. Staff& Experience: Welcoming staff made us feel at home, from check-in to wine tasting. Booking through Harvest Hosts was easy, and the purchase expectation was reasonable—we bought a bottle of wine. Overall: Landry Vineyards was a delightful stopover while passing through West Monroe. The scenic site, lively concert, impressive tasting, and warm hospitality made it a Bucket List Stay. If we pass through again, we will definitely book again!

Beautiful site

We spent the weekend in site #7. Weather was challenging with severe thunderstorms but the site was overlooking the vineyard. Site has electricity and water. Jeff, Libby and staff friendly as always. Concert with Clara Rae was a bonus

Beautiful Location

We stayed at location #13 at far end of the tasting room. It was a beautiful location that allowed us to overlook the vineyard. It was very easy to get into and out of with our 45’ 5th wheel.

We really appreciate the directions that were given in terms of which roads to take to the vineyard.

Nice stop!

We stayed at Landry Vineyards on a Saturday and they were quite busy. This probably accounts for why one of the owners(Libby Landry) was a bit curt. However, the other owner(Jeff Landry) was very friendly. The young woman who was working at the vineyard was also very nice. We decided to pay for a full hookup site although we ended up connecting only to electricity. The site(#3) was on the upper level and was quite scenic...a nice spot. The site was rock and not quite level since we had to use leveling blocks to avoid having the back tires of our 39 foot motorhome lifted off the ground. Directions that we received to get to the winery and to the parking site were quite detailed and appreciated. We were towing an automobile behind the motorhome. Turns to the upper level of parking sites were a bit tight, but not difficult to manage. We each enjoyed a tasting of wines and purchased a bottle of Petite Sirah to have with a cheese pizza that we ordered...Unfortunately, the server forgot to put in our order for the pizza, so we missed out on that. This was a nice stop and we would probably stop again if returning to this area.

Hi Steven, Thank you so much for recognizing that we were "quite busy." As I stated to you in a previous message from the same review you left for us on Harvest Host, that I reviewed the video several times of your visit and I did not see where I was "curt" and you never responded with any examples of it. However, I did give you and your wife attention, explained the tasting process, gave you wine glasses and crackers. I had to walk away for a min. and asked you to "excuse me." I was taking care of another customers tasting board, I wanted to get it out of the way to take care of you and your wife at the bar. We were VERY busy. Also, I apologized that someone other than ME who forgot your pizza but also pointed out that the server and my husband came to your table, and you never said anything about your pizza not being served to you. We were bringing out pizza's constantly and would have been happy to get you one, you could have mentioned it to my husband when he came chat with you when you were sitting at the table. It only takes 2.5 min. to cook. The guest next to you received a pizza, you could have stopped the server and told her you ordered one. As you can see from previous reviews, everyone was happy with the service and their stay. As far as your spot not being at leveled as you like, unless it is cement, it will fluctuate as RV's and campers are constantly coming and going. Glad you approved and appreciated the details of our directions. I would like to recommend that if you criticize someone publicly, that you at least reply to their message privately. Your comment of me has disturbed me, especially since I have looked over the video several times and you recognized that we were "quite busy." It is our desire to serve all customers in a timely, courteous manner. We do get "quite busy" and try to deal with it in a professional manner, however, being busy and not spending enough time with customers does not mean that I was "curt." Safe travels, Libby

Great spot

Am amazing area for an overnight stop. The vinyard is clean and the space for parking was a great spot. Don't miss this one. Have a flight of wine and cheese sit back and enjoy.

Amazing Get Away

My wife and I really enjoyed this get away for the weekend. The site was nice and quite. The view of the vineyard from the site was amazing. Mr. Jeff came by and greeted, even assist me by allowing me to borrow a hose to complete the hook up on my camper. The staff at the winery was very polite and friendly. Thank you all for such a great experience!!

Perfect stop

We have stayed in the vineyard three times. It’s a nice drive from the interstate and a very peaceful place to spend the night. The RV sites are easy to access. The power, water, and WiFi are good. We were there in May, and twice in September.

Beautiful view of the Landry Vinyards

We arrived close to the tasting room closing time, but were able to call in an order for wine, cheese & crackers to be delivered to the campsite for a very pleasant end of a long day of driving. Very accomodating service and beautiful view of the vineyards!

Simply serene

We arrived around 6 p.m. and were warmly greeted by the owner, who kindly explained how to reach our site on the hill that overlooks a beautifully maintained and fruitful vineyard. Watching the sunrise over the vineyard the next morning as I strolled through the fields with our furry companion revealed the simple yet captivating beauty of the surroundings. We were so impressed by our stay that we couldn't resist ordering wine online. Highly, highly recommend this place. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Lovely!!

The vineyard is beautiful and the hosts were just as lovely. We sat down for a couple tastings and played card games in the indoor area since it was brutally hot outside. We had a wonderful conversation with the owner who made us feel at home. We definitely recommend this location!

Amazing!

this was an absolutely beautiful location, and the staff was amazing! Sites were wide and easily accessible and the Vineyard is absolutely amazing! Went in for a wine tasting and walked away with a bottle to take with me! Follow the directions to staff gives you and not the GPS if you have a big rig! Even then, the roads in were a little tight, but definitely manageable! 10 minutes off I-20 if you drive slow. I will definitely be staying here again if I’m passing through the area!

Excellent stay

Perfect stop over.

We stayed overnight on a long road trip at the lovely and pristine Landry Grape Escape. It was beautiful and peaceful. We would not hesitate to stay again. Libby Landry was responsive and very helpful. We h ighly recommend the Landry Grape Escape.

Quiet stop

We stayed in site 5 with electricity and water on a Wed. Nice level gravel pad. We have a 33' Class A with toad and it was hot so wanted the electric for the a/c. We did the wine tasting and they have about 24 varieties to choose from including 3 ports. Pick 6 for the tasting. Bought a bottle of the Cottonport port for the road. Great with chocolate or dessert.

Just perfect!

We absolutely loved our stay at Landry Vineyards. We have a 40’ fifth wheel and spent the night on site 3 with 50 amp power. The view and the peaceful setting were just magnificent! We enjoyed some pizza and cheese along with some fun music on their patio. Would definitely stay again!

Awesome place to stay!!

Two seniors and a dog

We loved the new sites 5-8. We stayed in site 5. Very level and new need unhook. Didn't have a chance to try the wines which we regret. I give this Harvest Host a 10. Quiet and comfortable.

Hidden Gym

We absolutely loved the GrapeEscape at Landry Vinyards. The spots are level and nice, the whole property is absolutely gorgeous. We were lucky enough the be in a spot that is right across the road from the Winery and they had live music the day we came in. We visited the winery for a tasting, bought some wine and things to make a meat / cheese tray and took it back to our RV to enjoy the music and do a little dancing! It was an amazing experience that we will definitely enjoy again!

Pretty Location

The site is nice, and the hosts very helpful. Do arrive before dark, and in time for wine tasting. No lighting to find your way after dark.

Great winery and great people

Great sites with water, electric. Walking distance to tasting room. They also have full hookups, but they weren't available for the 2 nights we wanted to stay!! Amazing wine and great service. Jen Lee was amazing. 2 visit. We will be back.

Beautiful and peaceful

This place was beautiful, quiet, and pleasant. We went for the Stomping of the Grapes and enjoyed the delicious wines. We were there on Friday night and Saturday and also got to enjoy the live music... lots of people there that day. Had a wonderful time on this cousin's weekend getaway trip!! we will return in the future, Thanks for having a convenient place for us to stay.
