Really pretty, rather rustic, nothing is level--a really solid stay overall
This was our first camping trip with our new-to-us rig, and even though the weather was horrible for all but the last day of our trip, we still had a nice time. We chose site 44 after looking at the site map and deciding it would be pretty simple to back into and wow were we wrong. The pad itself was rather level...once you got into it, but to get into it, you had to angle down the side of a hill, then cut it back the other way and straighten it out at just the right time. 😳 Once we go into the site (thanks to a Good Samaritan that stopped to help with some extra lights and a bit of coaching!), we loved it. And, after driving through the entire campground the next day, we decided it was the best site in the whole park for our size rig! 😂 Seriously though, we were across the street from the bathhouse, which is always nice with kiddos, and there was nothing behind us but a little stream and a bunch of woods leading to the lake. There's hiking, fishing, archery, a nice playground, etc...so there's plenty to do at the campground and there were some rather epic sites on the lake...for tent campers. 🙂
