The Best Camping Near Stuart, Iowa

Nations Bridge County Park was clean with great trees and hiking trails as well as open spaces for frisbee golf and picnics It is a great campground if you have an RV or camper or just a tent.

Plenty of things to keep your family busy. If you are in a Scout Troop or have a youth group there is a large campsite away from the other campers that allows everyone to have fun without disturbing each other. This is a great campground and is just north of the city of Stuart right off of interstate 80.

Nations Bridge is a nice park

This was a great spot for our overnight stay while traveling I-80. Its about 6 easy miles off the interstate, and well marked. The lower camp zone looks like it floods easily and was pretty muddy, so we opted for a nice level spot in the upper section. 50 amp plug in, fire rings, picnic tables, great park for our 3 year old. Our review would be 5 stars, but all the restrooms were locked for the season, and the only signage was on the doors of the facilities. No signage about the closures at the self registration. We probably should have checked the restrooms prior to setting up. Still, a very nice place and we would definitely visit again.

Great spot

We loved this place! 
It was green, very clean, and in a nice location (just on the outskirts of Des Moines).
We were there on a Wednesday, and there was barely anyone there. In fact, we had the bottom half all to ourselves.
There are horse shoe pits and even a frisby-golf course.

Beautiful Place

It’s a little ways off the highway through the town of Stuart (Home to 1600 good eggs).  There is an upper and lower campground and rumor has it that the lower sites can be a little muddy. Electrical at all the RV sites with grey water access and black water dumping station. Views of the water and walking trails from the site. The showers are a bit primitive but plenty of hot water.
