Awesome Views!

This is a lovely park with awesome views of Lake Michigan & fun (somewhat challenging) hikes on the sandunes!! Campsite is pretty open & not much privacy from neighboring campers!

A night with the raccoons

We went on a week day, so the camp ground was rather empty. The grounds were clean and the facilities were nice as well. The firewood at the camp store was super hard and ours wouldn't make a fire.. The beach, dunes and trails were really nice. As soon as the sun goes down the raccoons are out to play. They were around our tent messing around throughout the night, so it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Beautiful

Campground was beautiful and clean. Great hiking, people watching, and fishing.

So much fun!

I loved this area! There was a beach side so you could relax in the sun and play in the lake, and awesome difficult hiking trails! My shoes were not prepared for the sand! The only thing I did not enjoy was that it was very touristy thanks to the many beach-goers. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience

trees or dunes

This park has 2 different types of campsites- sites that are quite sandy 'in the dunes' and sites in a wooded area. Most sites are quite small with some space between for a bit more privacy. The park is pretty quiet at night possible due to the no alcohol policy. We enjoyed checking out the dunes and Lake Michigan.
