Sites are way to small
Site is so small and narrow across from permanent campers who refused to move there car so we could get into our site paid for premium site I think not !!

We’ve been to many KOA campgrounds over the years. Some great, some I’ll never go back to. Hogback Lake definitely ranks at the top of the list. The owners take excellent care of the property and you can tell they’re continually reinvesting in maintenance and upgrades. They have a new pool and lazy river which is fantastic. There’s an inflatable obstacle course on the lake. They have docks, pontoon rentals and a launch if you wish to bring your own boat. The only drawback is the traffic noise if you’re staying in any of the sites near the front of the park. I definitely recommend this campground if you’re looking for a place to stay in the Angola area.
We enjoyed the stay at this campground. They have all of the KOA amenities pool, lazy river, jump pillow, playground and dog park. Entire campground was clean and well maintained. This campground also sits on the shores of Hogback Lake which is an all sports lake. Many things to do in the area Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve, Pokagon State Park(hiking, biking and horseback riding), Amish communities close by, Black Pine Animal Sanctuary, Angola, IN many shopping and dining experiences.
Love this campground! Events every weekend and some fun for everyone. I will say DONT rent a 4 person bike unless you’re incredibly fit, it is no leisurely stroll 😂 Also, watch out for some of the patio sites, some have a fire pit that would sit directly under an awning. Our patio site though had the pit far out from site and we loved it, the grill even had propane in it to use!
This place was fantastic.. we arrived late to find an envelope with our name on it with all of our info inside.. the site was perfect with everything we would need already there.. chairs, table, and even a propane grill! Highly recommend this for a stop over or extended stay. There are lakes all around and a playground for the kids.. If I could give 10 stars I would.
We spent this past week at Hogback Lake KOA. It is late in the season so much of the park was closed for the season, but we had a great year round site. A little bit of road noise, but water, electric, sewer, cable TV all worked great. We have family in the area and had a great visit. We will definitely stay here again in the spring.
We arrived about 5:30pm. Hooked up and planned to relax. Power went off and on 5-6 times in an hour. Surge suppressor was normal. No TV, plugs, microwave, etc... Tried to call and let somebody know but the mailbox was full. Had to walk to the office to find Fred's number. Left him a message and he came right over. Great guy. He didn't find any problems so we're hoping for the best. Highway noise was terrible. So many open spaces and we're assigned a highway space. They obviously cater to seasonal campers. Find another place if you're on the move...
Not pleased with
We let the office know all this by written review and by email. No response. We will not return.
I keep my RV just across the street and have been through this park for a long time, before & after KOA. All the services you would want are here and they have a workable mesh wifi system. Another plus is that a Verizon and ATT cell tower is <2 miles away. The staff are pleasant and approachable. KOA has recently modernized this park and added a lot of new sites to the south and east of the old facility. IMHO the whole place is a class act and I think you will like it
There are sufficient transient sites to accommodate I-80/90 /I-69 /US-20 traffic. However, there are a lot of seasonal RV's that are congregated towards the lake to the south: There is a beach on this property. The transient sites are, near the US-20 road, to the north are and easily accessible. I do not consider this to be a extremely loud road but there is large truck traffic day/night; however, I have not noticed "jake brake" use and the road is straight and flat in front of the park.
FYI - disclosure: I am in no way associated, employed or incented to make this review. I am considered to be a local guide by Google but not incented by them either. If Dyrt allows, I will later add pictures I have taken over the years from land and air. Also, as a parting bit of info, I have kayaked extensively in this long chain of lakes that this RV park is located on and you can go on for days.
Stayed 2 nights nice level sites, great location, clean, friemdly and helpful staff. Highly recommend!!
I stayed at this place when it was B&B and it is now a KOA. Several new sites were added and the park appears to be much cleaner. The restrooms are nice and the camp personnel are friendly. There is a dog park for walking the dog but with so much driveway I just walk the dog around the park. They have several dog bag stations around the park to make clean up easy. There are 3 playgrounds and boat area on the lake. I believe you can rent boats to fish even though I never have. I will definitely stay here again.
