2023 Final trip

First time here with great sights and plenty to do. Vast park and trails galore.

Labor day away

Nice size campground. Lots of stuff for the kids to do and all inclusive. Big fishing lakes. Pool could use a heater.

2nd stop 2023

Nice clean and spacious place. Very nice mini golf and good ice cream. Camp store was fully stocked and had the only gas in town. Heated pool is broken so one reason to go was disappointing.

First camp 2023

Was here in the past. Way nicer and so many inflatables for the kids and adults. Kart friendly and great spots all along the main strip, lake side and creek side.

Summer begins

First time here. Very nice sites. Pool was cold as it was early yet and all the kids loved Gaga ball. Carts and SxSs were all pretty respectful. The worms are killing all the trees tho and camper was covered in green poop from all of them in the trees.

Weekend before school starts

Another trip here on the books and it was nice and quiet with great sites and had First responder day on Saturday with a Chopper and plenty of squad vehicles for each department of specialty.

Summer Adventures

First time here and we were not disappointed. The kids absolutely loved it all. The pool, views, food were all amazing. Again another old growth canopy for camping shade and friendly skunks visit every night. They keep the Raccoons away and didn't spray any one or any dogs.

Homeward travel disaster

As my fairly new truck self destructed climbing the Blue Ridge MTN, it was all I could do to get back to this campground. The staff was beyond helpful in getting us a spot for the night and moving us later on to a spot for the week after my truck went to the local dealer for repairs.

Beech trip for the 4th

Old campgrounds but have full hook-ups. Beach side has sandy lots with waist hi weeds around electric poles and water spouts. Clean new bathrooms. The golf cart parade every night is an accident waiting to happen with children driving them and Zero street lights at best and people can't cross from the beach to get back. Pools were nice and Food trucks every night were excellent 👌.

Beach trip pit stop

Wonderful campground close to exit of I77. Old growth canopy of trees provide ample shade. Pool was nice. Restroom/Showers were wonderful and clean, also ample water pressure.

Our way home

Didn't know what to expect. Very quiet area. Some spots are near I74 but most are not. Large lake and history here. Close to town to see the local legends hometown.

July Destination

Wonderful camping sites. Great pool, golf kart friendly to all local eating and show places, grocery stores and more…

Passing thru

Nice place, open layout with a nice pool and great bath house. Right off interstate so there was some noise but not as bad as others. No potholes for trucks to hit all night.

Passing thru

We were amazed by the formations in the park. Having a grass lot that was extremely spacious with shade doesn't happen very often with a 40'er. It was close enuf to hit the local national parks and Skyway but too far to run the whole thing in a day. I shall return for the extremely quiet setting if I'm in the area.

Spring fishing trip

Our first trip to this area and we weren't disappointed. Wonderful country and scenery. Great campgrounds, spacious, bit aa bit tight to back into with soft shoulders to the road. Clean bathrooms and trash cans are plentiful. Walking trails to the lake and what a lake! We shall return at some point when it doesn't snow between 80 degree weeks.

Great find for anyone

Pull thru sites, full hookups, near I68,Morgantown and Coppers Rock. Activities for the kids and playgrounds. Great views. Minimal Interest noise.

July vacation

Amazing area of WV. Great spot to start from to get anywhere. Clean warm water, busy boating weekend, quiet during the week. Awesome lookout areas. Clean bathhouse for area 4. Garbage was RANK after a week and the humidity made it so we could not be outside day or night. The road to 4 was horrendous to be pulling a camper. Had to use 4Low to creep out. It should be paved, no exceptions for that hill. A/C power was an issue. 1 camper had 30 amp breaker blow 2 days in a row and my 50 amp ran A.C. units fan but didn't cool all day. I would stay again but will explore other grounds to see more area.

Party city

Don't expect to get much sleep. No respect from locals blowing thru campgrounds all night with loud karts and music and screaming. Water park was great for the kids and lake was clean. Geese give obvious problems here. Awesome bike trails and nice lots available for lay overs.

Easily accessible

Nice and flat grounds. Alot of sites for its size. Very nice lake and inflatables in swim area. Good fishing lake as well. Lake milton is a jump down the road for boating. But the hiway noise was just too much for the kids to sleep, and to enjoy a night at the fire having to yell at times.

Big Disappointment

Some sites require over 50' of hose and multiple power cords to reach power box due to the great amount of trees providing good shade throughout camp ground. The owner took it upon himself to correct the children and not the parents. The community had a great Halloween weekend. I will never go back or recommend this place after they way things were handled later on in the weekend with friends being evicted with 0 notice as owner was to cowardly to speak with adults over an activity that was mishandled from the beginning. Drive 10 more minutes and stay in the park. It's way nicer, and close to activities.
