We were on the upper side of the lower loop, near the entrance, and although we couldn’t see the water it was a short walk to the beach, which had sand and beautiful clear water. If we had more time I would have packed a picnic and spent the day in the day use area to avoid making the trek up and down the hill to the campsites. This was a nice place to stay, however if you’re looking for better lake access, be sure to reserve a lakeside spot far in advance.
