Small State Park with a Golf Course

Jack Hill State Park is a small campsite in Reidsville, Georgia. The state park features a lake, golf course, mini golf and splash pad. There are less than 35 campsites on the property and each campsite was well spaced out. The bathroom/shower house facilities were clean and seemed quite new. They had 1 washer and dryer on site on the backside of the bathrooms. While it would be great if they had another set of laundry machines, I understand as it is such a small park and there is laundry very close by. The Park featured only 1 or 2 trails that were really short. I wish they had more trails. The Park was within a few minutes of basic amenities like gas, groceries and a McDonalds. The nearest Walmart was 30 minutes away in Vidalia, GA and it featured restaurants and tons of stores nearby. The campsite was $35 per night and we had full hookups.

Quiet Escape

We are local and we’re taking our new travel trailer on her maiden run to work out any bugs before our two journey.

Great quiet place. Golf course is “par”! Not much to do out in town and not many restaurants to keep out. There is a food lion just a couple of miles away.

Staff is very nice and helpful.

Beautiful park.

Spaces were tight. They do have construction happen ing in the campground but weren't doing any work when we stayed thanks to covid19. Park has a couple small hikes and a big lake with gators swimming around. They had a few working swings that made sitting by the lake enjoyable for watching the swimming gators. We saw a couple of them during our stay along with other fun wildlife. We did enjoy our stay however had the campground been full we might have had a different opinion.

No thanks

Perhaps we were spoiled in our camping experience just prior to this in Magnolia Springs. Campsites here are close together and some of them unacceptably so! Sites four and five are literally next to each other, questionable if there was room to even put out our awning. Also sites 13 and 14 were the same way. We had planned to stay for a week but 13 was our assigned site and it was awful. We left. Young people in the office were gracious about a refund, however not apologetic. Perhaps they don’t realize what it is like when you are on the road and needing to be sure you have a spot for Thanksgiving weekend. Fortunately, we have found ourselves in a wonderful little private park about an hour from there. Guess it was meant to be. Restrooms were very nice and clean.

A little gem

Small campground with some campsites that are Lakeside. Brand new bathhouse. Very nice golf course, driving range and store. Brand new office and ranger station. A pretty little campground. They do have a splash pad, mini golf course, and playgrounds for kids. There is a short nature trail. We like to go here once or twice a year when we don't have a long weekend and just want to get away for a couple days.

Gordonia Altahama State Park

We stayed here in Site 20 at the end of April, first of May 2016 . This is a nice clean park, located right in the City of Reidsville.

The campground is really small, and the spots are really close together.

The bathhouse was clean, and there was plenty of hot water, but it could stand to be updated.

There is a lake alongside part of the campground, and one short walking trail, but it you don't golf there isn't much to do here. It would have been a nice place to relax, but there were LOTS of kids running through the park all the time.
